Ratings & Reviews for DuroMax 744cc 16000 Starting / 13000 Running Watt Gasoline, Liquid propane Dual Fuel Inverter Generator

UNRELIABLE - UNRESPONSIVE - POOR QUALITY

My XP13000DX stopped working after less than 12 hours of propane use. Despite repeated attempts to contact customer support, my concerns were not addressed. The standard warranty only covers parts, and the company has shown no accountability for an admittedly defective product. Numerous negative reviews online highlight widespread dissatisfaction. I strongly recommend researching alternatives before purchasing a Duromax product.

Absolute Beast

There are no words to describe this generator, happy with this purchase, highly recommend.

DuroMax XP16000iH

DuroMax XP16000iH is well built and quiet. I would recommend this inverter generator. Very nice design.

High quality generator, but consult an electrician

Paired this up with a MicroAir Soft Start on my 4 ton AC and can easily power the whole house via a power inlet box and interlock kit. You may want to consult an electrician though, as these generators come with a neutral/ground bond which would not be in compliance with section 250 of the NEC if you use it as a whole house generator (there should be only a single bonded neutral/ground in a system, and you will already have one at your main panel). You do want to have a bonded neutral if you a...

Great product!

Just received my new XP16000ih today. Looking forward to many years of service!

Quality Product

Had been looking and comparing for several months, finally pulled the trigger, Great Generator it's a must buy!

Works Perfectly

I took this out of the box, added oil, attached my propane tank and it fired up with my remote starter. I haven't put it under load but I don't anticipate any issues when I do.

new generator left us hanging

like another reviewer, I used this for the first time for hurricane Milton a couple days ago. The generator ran but produced zero power. Thank goodness I still had my Honda generator because it saved the day. Luckily we were able to find gasoline at the last minute, because I had 5 propane tanks for this duramax that didnt work. My Honda 3450 inverter was perfect, I wish I would have never purchased this duromax. called customer support during the hurricane and there was no answer - was on ...

Runs, but produces no electricity

Bought this generator after hurricane Ian, two years ago. First generator wouldn’t start, so we replaced it through Lowes back then. It has been kept covered inside garage with no further use - pristine condition. Now, after hurricane Milton, we hooked it up to the house and it runs fine, but produces no electricity. Called Duromax, as it’s still under warranty. Technical support was very nice, said they'd send someone out to diagnose the problem. Haven’t heard a word from them since - three day...

Monster

Replaced our XP13000EH, because we installed some split air units, and my wife works at home on a computer and we were concerned about the THD. We love this thing. This is our third duromax in 3 years. We also purchased a XP11000IH for our guest house, unfortunately it had a problem. Called customer support they asked us to check a few things, they then said they wound send a carrier to get it same day and shipped out a new one. Customer support was always easily accessible and very polite. Som...

Has the power and quiet I need

I bought this several days ago there are things I really like, the power, the dual fuel. For the weight 370 pounds it moves surprizing well. I love the generator Inverter. Things I am not so pleased with there is no lifting point so I can place it on my truck. My old generator weighing slightly less had a single point lifting hook spot on the center of gravity built into the frame over the gas tank. No muss, no fuss just hook on and go. There is no listing of consumables I found the spark lug ...

Awesome Generator

I like this Generator it powers my whole house and it’s quieter than most generators very easy to move around too

Good generator for off grid

Promopt shipping. Good communication. Very big generator. Makes up where our 9500 lacks

Yes!! It will run the entire house incldg 5T A/C!

Superior Quality, Fit and Finish is great! Started first time and ran smooth for 8 hr break-in! This Gen runs our entire 2500 sqft house including 5 Ton A/C w/Micro Air Soft Start!! 3 Frigs, 1 deep freezer,

Still breaking in

I t was just delivered yesterday. It was well packed and arrived with no visible damage. I added break-in oil, connected the battery and propane. I reinstalled the side panels and pushed the start button on the key fob. It cranked for a while, purging the air in the propane line, then stopped cranking. Several seconds later, it automatically cranked again and starting running smoothly and quietly. I only have one hour on it with no load, and will continue to break it in with several cycles, allo...

Great machine

This generator is a beast! It has all of the power I need to run our food truck with multiple ice cream machines running. I have added a muffler to quiet the exhaust just a little bit more. Having two 50 amp services is a nice feature as we expand.

Wow really nice

I just bought it. I haven't got to use it but do tried it out to see how it runs. Really impressed bigger than I imagined but very pleased. The machine is quite and the remote is awesome. Can't wait to really puttingit in action don't want to rush it though..
