Ratings & Reviews for DuroMax 744cc 16000 Starting / 13000 Running Watt Gasoline, Liquid propane Dual Fuel Inverter Generator

Great home generator

Powered my entire 3,300-sq-ft home—including two A/C units—off a single 100-lb propane tank without breaking a sweat. It ran smoothly and was very quiet. Worth every dollar.

This is one heck of a generator

Just arrived and I am a little surprised at how well built this appears to be. Hoping I don't need it, but when the hurricanes come, it will be great to have such a powerful machine to keep us cool here in Florida. Fired right up and is very quiet. Full flow oil, oil filter and twin cylinder were just a few of the reasons we selected this, oh and it puts out a full 59 amps of power, so will run most everything we need during a storm. A couple of issues out of the gate, but I am hopeful they ...

Awesome Generator

This is my second Duromax; I had purchased the 13000 a couple of years ago. It's a great generator; it ran the whole house without any issues. It ran my 3-ton AC, the lights, and the refrigerators. I wanted something a little stronger. I bought the 16000; it's a little expensive, but it's a great investment. Started on the first crank and ran for eight hours during the first outage. I ran all the same appliances and the central air with zero problems.

Great generator

Glad I purchased it. Have used it. Very easy to setup and do maintenance. Only wish was, if I could have waited, a tri-fuel would have been my first choice. If there is a straight forward way to convert the dual to tri it would make these generator that much better. Have 4 wheels is great. Solid brakes.

Highly recommend -16,000 Watt Portable Dual Fuel

Very nice generator very quiet could easily run 2 homes.

Great generator. Very impressed with the features.

Bought it a week ago & hooked it up to motorhome for 7 hours for break in. I will set up house for it too.

I purchased the xp16000ih several months ago and .

I purchased the 16000 several months ago and satisfied with it. No complaints from me.

Powerful and Easy to Use.

Bought for work and works great. Easy to set up and dual fuel is great. Easy to switch between the two. Tons of power and super quiet.

Has been reliable but also has a few bugs

I have had this product for a few years and found it reliable, quiet and it does the job. In most respects. The location of the air filter makes it almost impossible to change and the handle broke in the first month. Duromax did send me a new handle. I think that in the event of a startup battery failure the pull chord would be next to impossible to use. And attempted to help with the air filter issue.

Exceptional

So glad I bought this. Lost power during the heat wave for almost an entire day and ran everything in my home until power was restored. Worked splendidly.

Amazing Generator

I just received my new XP16000iH generator yesterday and unpacked it, added oil and fired it up on propane. This thing is quiet compared to my old Westinghouse Igen9500df. This thing is a beast, it's a lot larger then my old generator but it's also an Invertor and has much more power, it will power my whole house with ease. I already love it but I knew I would based on my research before I purchased it.

Massive but worth every penny.

Please don't repeat my mistake. I purchased this generator and opted for store pickup. When I arrived at the store, they had to use a forklift to load it into the back of my Ford F-250. Once we got home, it took four people to unload it. However, you do get what you pay for—a portable generator that produces clean energy for your entire home. WARNING: If you own a larger home, I recommend getting a second unit along with a parallel link accessory. This will allow you to run two generator...

Generator for Home Backup Power

I purchased this generator in November 2024. My power has gone out about four or five times since then. It powers everything in my home (2000 sft) with no problem. I am very satisfied with this purchase. I wish they made some type of covering specifically for this generator in case of bad weather.

Very quiet and powerful

We have a mobile dog grooming business and it works great and powers all of our equipment. Only complaint whomever put the oil filter on at the factory had it so tight I had to destroy the filter to change it.

Blown engine after 1st use

First time used, engine blown. Oil leak on ground.

Great unit, Easy to operate and service

Bought this June of 2024 and used it for 9 days straight during the Hurricane that hit Houston. I was able to run my complete home.I have used it several times since for a few hours due to power loss. I run on propane mainly and also on gas. I like it so much I also bought the 11,000 due fuel inverter unit as a back up if needed.

Love it

Works great runs our full 48 ft concession trailer and only uses 1/2 of the watts!

Best ive ever had
