Would RecommendThe only con to this miter saw is the weight - it's a TANK! But it's also a beast of a saw. I got this to replace my Craftsman compact compound miter saw that just can't be adjusted to cut an exact 90 degree cut. I use it mounted to my DeWalt DWX723 heavy duty miter saw stand.

Would RecommendAs a DYI'er, this miter saw was everything I expected and more. Although it does not have a line laser for cutting, it does have a "shadow" light for precision cuts. Additionally, the saw does come with a 12" 80T blade, you may want to purchase the 100T blade for cleaner cuts, although the 80T cuts good as well to start with general projects. For this price point for a corded miter saw and all its features, this is a must have in your DIY tool collection.

Great saw. Spring for the blade guide
Would RecommendBorrowed my son’s for a kitchen remodel. Bought my own soon after. Blade guide is amazing, much more useful than I would have thought. Changing blades is cumbersome. Directions in the owner’s manual didn’t work for me. I ended up disassembling the blade guard.
