WELL MADE SAW

Good cuts with provided blade, miter detents accurate, adjustments and locking in position between detents is good, bevel adjustments and depth of cut adjustment good. The blade position shadow is accurate but hard to see in bright sunlight. Wishing there were provisions for material stops, I'm not sure what is available for that other than the molding stops. This saw has a lot of improvements over my old one from the turn of the century. :)

great saw. game changer

I previously had a seven and a quarter inch cobalt miter saw. when it broke in the middle of a trim project, I bought this dewalt, and it was a game changer. the work late with the shadow cast of the blade for accuracy and the ability for additional capacity truly improves the quality and quantity of your work. buy it sooner than later

Works well for continuous cuts and is easy to adjust for angle changes and ----hair trimming.

Worth the extra money cheaper saws I've had but this one is far superior vary accurate which can't be gotten form other saws I've had

This saw has all the bells and whistles.

Love the shadow blade light for accurate line cuts. It has locking hook when slide not needed. Has a depth gauge setting which is great when wanting shallow cuts. And has automatic stops to choose from when using tilt angle cuts at 22.5 31 and 45 degrees

The saw is powerful and makes very nice and accurate cuts. However, the XPS Cutline is only approximate (the kerf is wider than the projected cut line), which is fine for rough carpentry, but useless for finish work (see photos). Furthermore, dust collection is basically non-existent (see photos). Even with a dust collection vacuum, dust gets everywhere — so bad It’s basically not usable indoors. If you feel compelled to buy a Dewalt slider, get the 779. The 780 is not worth the extra $$.
