Great saw, accurate, XPS light stopped working

I have all other DeWalt tools. I was looking to upgrade my miter saw from a starter Ryobi miter saw with a led shadow Cutline (so the upgrade needed this feature as it's incredibly helpful). I cross researched all brands top of the line miter saws (except festool because I'm not rich). This saw consistently came out on top in my research. Still accurate

I have had this saw for about 4 years. It still cuts very accurate when doing trim work. I really like how easy it is to change the blade. Even after riding around in the bed of my truck, I check it for square each time. I have never had to adjust it. Great saw to have.

Great upgrade.

I finally was able to upgrade my old chop saw when this Dewalt I've been eyeing went on sale. I was able to immediately put it to use and am very pleased with my purchase. I'm looking forward to doing many new things that my old chop saw couldn't.

this is my best

I'm a pro trim carpenter and have been using dewalt miter saws for over 25 years. My American made dw706 and my Mexican made dw717 saws have been stellar. I was skeptical when I purchased this dws780 because it's made in Taiwan. After months of hard use, I've put this saw at the top of my list. Accuracy stays spot on and it seems more powerful than any of my previous Dewalts. It's my front runner and my whole operation revolves around this saw.

Great Saw but Light Stopped Working After 2 Months

SAFETY WARNING!!! Hey carpenters - head's up!!!! Saws that are marked with the little green or black dot that are supposed to indicate that the saw has been officially "inspected" and marked as good-to-go by DeWalt's safety experts may STILL have the faulty part installed. I know this because I bought a saw from Lowe's back in Feb 2022 (6 months after DeWalt's recall) that I MADE ABSOLUTELY SURE had the safety inspection dots marked on both the saw arm and next to the serial number before I lef...

superb miter saw

This saw is excellent All upgrades made from previous versions of the DWS780 are well thought out and work well However, both the led light and it's power supply quit working after 3 months

Light died just after warranty

The saw worked great until the light died just after the warranty period. Customer service was not vary helpful along the way. Hopefully, the rest keeps working but I would not recommend buying the model with the light though it was very helpful for the short time that it worked.
