What Customers Are Saying
The product is a powerful and efficient tool for drilling into concrete, brick, and other tough materials. Customers praised its performance, with minimal vibration and overheating, and found it to be an excellent choice for heavy-duty tasks. However, a few users reported issues with the drill, such as it burning out or struggling with certain jobs, and some felt it lacked power at lower speeds, making it less suitable for delicate work. Overall, the product appears to be a reliable and well-suited tool for most home improvement and construction projects.

Works well
Bought to drill into concrete patio for 6x6 posts. With a new bit it eats through concrete like butter.

Great Tool
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to have a cheaper brand hammer drill. It eventually broke. I have cordless drills and hammer drills, but every once in a while I need a corded drill for longer use/ more power. I knew that the DeWALT drill was one I could trust. I was right, this tool I have had for a few months now, and it has yet to disappoint.

Working well
Would RecommendI have been using this drill for several months. I own a stone house and my daughter lives in an apartment with cement walls. This drill has made it easy to hang pictures, secure hooks, etc to the walls.

Go To Drill
Would RecommendThis is the first 1/2" Drill I have owned and it is now my "go too" drill. Plenty of power but with the variable speed control it allows me to handle any job. The chuck is easy to use and grips the bits like no other I have owned, especially key less chucks. After doing my research I chose the Dewalt Corded Drill. Pricing at Lowe's was comparable with other stores, even on line. What helped me make my decision was Lowe's has always honored the Troops and Veterans. Even though they are furt...

DEWALT 1/2 inch corded hammer drill
needed to install 1/4 inch anchor screws into concrete. I have tried to use a rotary drill on concrete before, Forget it. this hammer drill with a new bit went through concrete like butter. Nice feature is it's also a rotary drill when you want a corded drill.

JUNK
Would Not RecommendI have purchased two of these models and both of them turned out to be GARBAGE. They each were used less than a half a dozen times. On the first one the spindle gear just snapped off. On the second one the spindle gear rounded off and would no longer touch the other gears. I will never buy another DeWalt tool, until they adopt a LIFETIME warranty.

Great drill for the money.
Would RecommendDrilled 85 1/4" holes for masonry anchors in concrete block wall. Worked excellent. Only slight problem is that the variable speed in in the trigger and you really have to squeeze to increase speed.

Gets the job done...fast!
Would RecommendI bought this drill yesterday when my old hammerdrill decided it didn't want to run in the forward position anymore. I was in a pinch with time so I didn't have time to look at reviews or try to get the best deal. This drill has the most bang for the buck and "it's made in the US"! I had to drill through the brick on my house to make a hole for new A/C lines. It ate right through! Nothing like my old drill that took forever. The warranty is excellent at 3 years. Not that I think I will need it.

Good drill
Would RecommendDrilling into poured foundation <10 years old, only hit one spot it wouldn’t cut it - possibly rebar? A few visible sparks through vent hole in back when in hammer setting under heavy load Great and useful for the price unless you need something for industrial/heavy use
