What Customers Are Saying
The product is a powerful and efficient tool for drilling into concrete, brick, and other tough materials. Customers praised its performance, with minimal vibration and overheating, and found it to be an excellent choice for heavy-duty tasks. However, a few users reported issues with the drill, such as it burning out or struggling with certain jobs, and some felt it lacked power at lower speeds, making it less suitable for delicate work. Overall, the product appears to be a reliable and well-suited tool for most home improvement and construction projects.

Would RecommendNeeded to replace mt old Skill hammer drill and saw this Dewalt on sale. Drill has a nice solid feel and has the power to drill into most anything. I have other Dewalt tools and they all do a great job.

DeWalt Hammer drill
Would RecommendThe 1st time I used it I got it a little hot and it started to smoke. I thought for sure it was toast but after letting it cool down, it seems to be fine.

Factory Option - plug it in and it makes smake!
Would Not RecommendPlugged it in and the smoke came rolling out. Good for making smoke - not good for drilling.

Piece of Junk!
Would Not RecommendI used the hammer drill one time to drill 4 holes in concrete over a year ago. It did the job fine and I don't recall any issues. I went to use it this past week and nothing. The drill has been stored indoors. Of course the warranty is out and I'm sure it would cost more to fix than it cost. Dewalt should be ashamed to fly the American Flag on this piece of junk! Don't waste your money on this. I'd give 0 stars if that was possible. I'm very disappointed and will think twice about buying...

Dealt 1/2 in corded hammer drill
Would RecommendI used this drill to cut throw a 2x4 with a 3 in hole saw. It worked perfectly. Has plenty of power. Would recommend this drill to any one with a job needing power to drill holes in a board.

Great for brick
Would RecommendI’ve only used this drill on brick (with Bosch bits) and it cuts like a hot knife through butter. The amperage rating is actually 8.5, not 6.7 as stated on this page.
Good product but could use a torque warning
Would RecommendUsed it pretty good the first day and didn't know I needed to slow down until smoke rose from the slotted vent. It's hard to tell you're creating smoke when your kicking up mortar dust. An indicator light would help. That said, it still works well.

Installed a toilet flange in no time!!!
Would RecommendI highly recommend this drill I tried to drill through the concrete with my other drills so I decided to buy this hammer drill and wasn’t disappointed, drilled three holes in less than 40 seconds!!!!! Very pleased, Dewalt is my go to brand for tough to medium jobs!!!
Powerful, Easy to control, 2 hand support
I used this drill to drill about 25 holes in cement block with a 5/16 bit and it worked much better than my old Craftsman Drill. It had limited vibration, did not overheat or stall, and the depth bar kept the holes the depth I wanted. Good price for the use I needed and light weight compared to many others.

Didn't work out of the box
Would Not RecommendThis drill is garbage. Straight out of the box the switch didn't work and the drill won't go into hammer mode. A $100 drill. And it can't be returned.

you need power to drill. You got it!
Would Recommendnaively I tried doing my project with a battery powered unit. It worked, partly. It'd run out of juice, every single time, long before the one hole was completed. Bit the bullet and went on for this corded marvel and, like night and day, in a few minutes I was done. Just a warning, if you live in a condo, warn your neighbors they'll shake a bit for a short while!
