What Customers Are Saying
The product is a powerful and efficient tool for drilling into concrete, brick, and other tough materials. Customers praised its performance, with minimal vibration and overheating, and found it to be an excellent choice for heavy-duty tasks. However, a few users reported issues with the drill, such as it burning out or struggling with certain jobs, and some felt it lacked power at lower speeds, making it less suitable for delicate work. Overall, the product appears to be a reliable and well-suited tool for most home improvement and construction projects.

Would RecommendI recently bought this from Lowes and I am amazed how much power it is packed with. I have used 12V battery powered drill before, and this one would blow the 12V one out of water. It can drill a hole in cinder blocks within seconds. Somewhere around 10 seconds to be exact. One drawback is that it didn't came with a carrying case. And dewalt apparently doesn't sell just the carrying case though. Other than that I cant complain about this drill. Great for DIY projects and great value for the money...
The right tool for the job!
Would RecommendI bought this drill after attempting to use a standard drill to attach a board to a concrete floor. I was able to drill the holes(20) and drive the screws in less time than I had spent trying to drill one hole with the previous drill. The tool is easy to assemble and use. Its weight helps to apply pressure as you drill. It was quieter than I expected. I have also been using it to drive 3 inch deck screws. Its speed and power made this quick and easy. A very good tool for the money

Bought for a Christmas gift.
Would RecommendLove buying site to store. So convenient. My son requested this Dewalt 1/2" corded drill for a Christmas present. My husband has one and he had used it and liked it.

Great Hammer Drill
Would RecommendUsed this drill as soon as I arrived home. I drilled 3/8" holes into concrete for anchors. The drill easily drilled the holes. I also used the drill to drill holes in treated 2" x 6" s. The drill worked well as expected from any DeWalt tool. Definitely a good buy!

Fast and powerful
Would RecommendThe drill speed is extremely fast with the trigger being very sensitive, which takes a little getting used to if you want that slower speed. The hammer/drill indicator is very difficult to read. Drilled 1" holes with a wood bit like going through butter. With a 2 1/2" hole saw it did tend to lag and warm up pretty fast. The drill continuous speed lock is a little awkward to use.

GREAT PERFORMANCE
Would RecommendI purchased this hammer drill to install a fence around a swimming pool which has meant quite a few holes being drilled into the concrete. This tool has performed perfectly. At first I wondered what the depth gauge was but when I started using it I was very happy with it.

Problem with depth rod
Would RecommendBought this hammer drill to install 4.5 inch long 1/4" Tapcon bolts in a cinder block wall. It drilled the holes nicely and quickly. I was also able to drive the Tapcon Bolts into the wall with ease using the drill. But, I needed to use the included depth gauge rod. It only will work with the removable handle set at two locations, both parallel to the drill handle (below or above the drill). When the handle is set to 90 degrees from the main handle, the depth gauge rod hits the motor housing. I ...
This one is going back to the store.
Would Not RecommendI needed to put some concrete anchors in the basement wall, so I got this drill in local Lowes. With a right bit, it goes through concrete well (got seven holes out of eight, number 8 must've hit a hard rock - it just won't budge). The noise level was low, and there wasn't much dust. After drilling holes, I started installing the anchors. The plastic bit went in easily, so I used the drill as a screw-driver to screw the metal screws into the plastic. Nope, this drill won't work as a screw driver...
Best tool in the shed
Would RecommendA must have tool for concret drilling. This drill made my work so much easier for the holes I had to drill in a exterior wall.I wish I had it for the floor anchors I had previously done.I'll add this one to my favorite DeWalt tool collection for working on hardened walls and floors.
Great hammer drill
Would RecommendBought this drill to drill holes in basement foundation and mount boards. Worked great- drilled through easily without any problems and easily screwed concrete anchors into wall. Would highly recommend this drill.
It's really a heavy 3/8"
Would RecommendI expect a 1/2" drill to have a good low speed for auger or mixing work, even if the motor is on the small side. This drill has almost no low speed. The variable speed starts at half-speed and works up quickly from there. The DeWalt design is also very long, with the handle far from the center of mass, making it heavier to hold and more difficult to work in small-medium spaces. Think of it as a heavy, awkward 3/8" drill with a large chuck.
poor quality
Would Not Recommendlacks power, and while storing it in a garage in Florida, the chuck rusted, and froze up. A little humidity should trash a drill like this.
