This all-in-one drill/hammer is awesome. And coupled with the fact that I bought it at a reduced price, double awesome. I will definitely recommend.

Great power, poor reliability

Purchased September 2, 2019 and today November 15, 2019 with occasional use, the drill has completely quit operating. This drill has tons of power and I never found anything it could not handle, however with less than 3 months of infrequent use, the fact that is no longer functioning is highly disappointing considering the price you pay for Dewalt, i had much higher expectations of reliability. Tough, dependable, standout performance

This drill has not let me down, and I use it every day. The variable speed and adjustments give it range from delicate, to aggressive. 3/4” holes 8” deep in concrete, was able to do 60 without a battery swap. 2.5” holes through block, last all day and performed just as well as the corded Bosch, but easier to use thanks to being cordless and light...

Love the power when drilling large holes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the drill. It's plenty of power for most all holes I need to drill. The only place it lacks it the hammering into concrete. It's just still okay for drilling small holes without having to get the big hammer drill out. I once broke a drill trying to remove a stuck drill bit. So one start less for that over three or four drills.

Excellent Hammer Function

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this drill weekly to secure walls to concrete. The hammer function works well with my 1/2" bits and tuns what would normally be a job nobody wants to a job that people don't mind doing on the job site.

Drilling Beast!

Powerful and fast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hammer drill zipped through concrete with a 3/16" masonry bit for tapcons. It performed much better than I expected it to. Great drill.

Options

Decent

Solid Tool !

I have used the 20v line of products by Dewalt for years now and is definitely my first choice when I’m considering power tools.

This is a very good hammer drill. I was replacing the one I had, and abused for the last 7 years or so.

needs to last longer than a year!

bought the dcd996b hammer drill for work. while using 3/8 drill bit through 3/16 steel the bit got hung up a few times like most bits do during the process, as the bit gets hung up the motor stops turning "shuts down" protection feature? Probably so. any way, it happened a few times again on the second hole drilled and then shut down completely, swapped batteries to make sure with failed results, no light, no sound, no burnt smell.
