i do hvac. this was my new favorite drill over the 797 996,998 and 999. i own all of them. fantastic drill however, the chuck no longer loosens or tightens it spins freely. dewalt wont service my tool.

My idea was to sell both those battery platforms, and buy new tools to replace them under one battery platform. I chose DeWalt 20V as the platform, and chose this DCD805 hammer drill, to start replenishing my tools. Not only Was it a mistake buying this drill, I will be going back to Milwaukee. Power & Portability
Would RecommendThis is the favorite tool in my toolbox. It has a good weight to it, not heavy but not flimsy. A multitude of settings ensure that it’s always the right tool for the job. Hammer functionality makes quick work of concrete. But my favorite feature is the ability of this drill to double as a work light. That has come in handy more times than I ever expected.

Outstanding drill
Would RecommendThis hammer drill proves time and time again. I use it to mix drywall mud, drill holes in concrete to fasten baseplates when framing walls, drill holes in metal, fasten sheet rock to studs. I haven’t come across a situation where this drill lacked the power or capability in which I needed it for.
