Very Disappointed

My first test was cutting 3 inch wide 3/16 inch thick steel angle. The blade that comes on the saw is too thin and weak. By the time it reached the bottom of the cut, it had extreme side deflection resulting in cutting into the saw base plate and unintended angled cuts. I replaced the thinner blade with a thicker 1/8 inch one and experienced extreme wobble and the saw vibrating across the floor. Decent build quality, but cuts aren't square

I purchased this just last weekend. Looks nice, decent enough quality, vice clamp is good. Fence and lock down design could be better. I returned to lowes because the cuts are not even close to being square and blade wobble and deflection is horrible. Tried making cuts slow, extra slow, medium speed. great chop saw that brings the pain to block

was cutting block with my grinder, but when it came to the finish with the cap, my dad went and brought me back this 15 amp chop saw. took the hardware off so I could cut 16" paver caps on it. cut the block smooth, clean, and quick. but we also bought the $100 Dewalt Pro diamond blade, since those black mason blades ain't tough enough to cut through block, they just bog and eat away... dont waste your time on those $7 chop saw blades, those are for bricks and you get what you pay for. if you're ...

It turns out I don't use the quick change blade system that much because the blades last quite a while. But I use the quick change fence enough that i wouldn't want to use a saw without it. Quick release blade holder weak link

After purchasing this saw I began experiencing the deflection issues, that quite a few other reviewers have been going through with this. Tried different blades with no help, I was about to return the saw, when I grabbed the lock bolt off my old saw and cinched it down tight with a wrench. All the problems are gone now, the supplied quick release knob only gets the blade hand tight if your lucky which is probably not the best idea for a 14 in blade turning 3500 rpm.
