Perfect for my needs

I looked at all the different brands and I have loved everything else crescent branded I have ever purchased so far so I went ahead and went with this one. It’s by far the sturdiest one I have seen or used. You can tell that the second you hold it in your hand. It holds the bits GREAT too. I love that the bits fit tightly. A solidly built bit holder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this bit holder with an impact driver in a couple different applications with slightly varied levels of progress. I did notice a slight increase in bit torque from the exclusive dual impact zone using a PH2 bit making it quicker to drive screws. It has a strong magnet holding the bit nice and tight.

Adapter needed by all

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Daily tool used on my impact tool. Not only does it extends the bit, it helps hold screws with the strong magnets. Impacts are great to keep the bit from stripping the screw heads and this adapter. A must for anyone with an impact tool.

Great tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the weight of this. Works really well. Haven’t had any bits fall out. The little heavier weight feels good in balance to the weight of the impact. Has preformed flawlessly in the times I’ve used it.

1/4” vortex bit holder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bit is awesome and will definitely save bits. It holds bits very well. I have found that it works better with metal compared to wood. Wood had being more softer than metal. Highly recommend this product.

Big beefy apex

It’s larger in diameter that most other off the shelf brands . The length is standard to all others on the shelf .

Nice features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Vortex bit holder is an upgrade to the bit holder I was using before. The free spinning barrels is nice and smooth. No getting glove fingers twisted. The magnet that holds the bit has good strength.

Overall great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very strong magnet that holds tip in very well. Outer sleeve spins which allows easy grip when using in impact. Product itself could be slightly thinner as it's a bit thick to fit in small/narrow places.

Not good for tight spots.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very well made. Says it makes your bits last longer but I guess time will tell on that. It is very bulky and that makes it more difficult to get in some tight spots as far as mounting shelf brackets and such.

Stability and Efficiency

Perfect bit protection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The vortex bit is a great addition to any impact or any drill/drive combo. It protects bits and even adds a bit of a magnet for my bits. It is extremely durable and heavy duty while also providing protection for the regular wear and tear that comes with using bits. This is a fantastic product!

Close to perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used many different bit holders and this is one of the best yet. The barrel spins so freely. I do a lot of metal roofs so i wear gloves, the free spinning barrel is actually safer than most because it doesnt grab the fingers of the glove.

This one stands out because of it’s thicker body. It gripa on both ends with plenty of tension- maybe too much for when you are using smaller bits (you will need to give it a decent pull to remove them.) Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bit holder works great. I really like how securely it holds the bits while in use. I found this holder very useful for changing out doorknobs. The free floating holder prevents scratching to the knobs. The only issue I have with this is the packaging. This is one of the hardest tools I have ever opened, and the sticky Packaging material is directly on the bit and nearly impossible to remove.

Perfect tool box addition.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bit holder rocks. I've been looking for something to stop the stripping and breaking of screws. This but holder is going to be a perfect addition to my tool box. Maybe I can slow down on buying bits now.

Seems cheaply made

Seems cheaply made. Squeaks when it spins, doesn't rotate smoothly. Like the magnetic head and quick adapter, but doesn't feel like it will last long.

Overall works very well.

Although the magnet holds the bit tight, it is not strong enough to hold a 1-inch screw. The ability to hold the barrel while operating is a very nice feature, however it does get hot after continuous use.

Solid performance with useful features

This simple add-on for your electric driver will make work easier for you. It has a solid feel to it. The socket for holding bits fits well: some of my screwdriver bits are a little tight going in, but all of them fit and there's very little free play—especially important when using a flat-head bit, where any jiggle can result in gouged work or a stripped screw head. Great extention

I like this bit extention because of the durability, quality and the length. The only thing I find it a little to big to get In to tight spots, other than that it is great add on to any impact driver.
