Works good so far it’s fast and split threw everything so far only thing I wish the wood catcher was little bit longer

Heavy duty

Love this splitter. Much higher quality than I would have expected from Craftsman. It is very heavy duty and is also one of the few splitters I’ve seen with a filter for the hydraulic fluid. I have split a few cords of oak and hickory since purchase; splitter has never failed to split a round. Very pleased. Anticipate it will last many years.

Great product, fast cycle time, will split anything you throw on it.

Had the log splitter a couple months. Have done initial oil change and about four tanks of fuel. So far, so good. Works as it should. Cranks up in one or two pulls. Lots of power to bust through green oak.

Very well built

Very well built. I liked the fact that it had both a hydraulic reservoir and filter. Not many other brands had this. The Kohler motor starts with the first pull every time.

Must have tool. Never swing an ax or maul agian

The power of the splitter versus the cost was the major factor in the purchase. The splitter has been able the muscle through every log.

No good

I purchased the Craftsman 27 ton wood splitter and the first time I used it it started spraying hydraulic oil out of the weld around the fitting I took it back and they were trying to charge me 140 dollars to repair it and the employees at the service desk were rude.

27 Ton Craftsman log splitter

The 27 ton Craftsman log splitter that was purchased was brought home and would not start. It eas returned and credited back. A second log splitter was purchased but before picking it up we determined it should be checked out and confirmed to work prior to pickup. Lowes called to say the 2nd splitter would not start either. Needing a splitter we asked that ylowes check with amother local store. They did, only to find that Lowes had 5 27 ton Craftsman splitters that would not work. So the...

Very well constructed fit and finish. Paint holding up well and red on black is A+. Doing well what it's supposed to do !

Nice machine that was not put together correctly.

Brought the log splitter home on Tuesday and started it up yesterday. Hydraulic luis spraying out of one of the fittings. Evidently whoever put it together forgot it put in the o ring. Disappointed.

This is a very good product for the price point.

I like the fact that you can split in a horizontal and/or vertical position.
