What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the splitter for exceptional power, reliable starting, and robust build quality. Most highlight how effortlessly it splits tough wood like oak and maple, even logs up to 36 inches, drastically reducing physical effort. The Kohler engine starts reliably on the first or second pull, even in cold weather, delivering consistent performance through multiple cords. Reviewers describe the unit as heavy-duty and well-constructed, anticipating years of durability. A few report minor pre-assembly issues like low oil or fluid leaks, but confirm the splitter performs flawlessly once properly serviced. Overall, most consider it a worthwhile investment.

Would RecommendThis is a great woodsplitter, once you get it started. I had Lowe's do the preassembly. Be sure to check their work. They failed to inflate the tires and tighten the hydraulic lines enough, but no harm no foul. I had trouble starting this at first, but after gapping the spark plug and using a little starting fluid, I finally got it to pull over and start. Runs great now.

Awesome splitter
Would RecommendWife and I purchased today for $1100 new and already assembled. Added gas and went to work. Went thru a pick up load in just a few hours of knotty pine. Powered thru 20 inch rounds with knots with no problem. Started on 1st pull each time. I'm 55 years old and can't swing an ax like I used to so this was awesome to me. Buy one. I doubt you would be disappointed.
Works flawlessly
Would Recommendengine started on second pull, and always has. doesn't seem to hold much fuel, but the Kohler Engine appears to be very efficient. split the wood from a 60 ft Douglas fir and still had a quarter tank of fuel. At 60 years old this is far safer than using a splitting maul. it's actually a pleasure to use, and I can split a couple cords of wood without breaking a sweat.Tested on some 24-in Oak that my ex would bounce off of and was awesome, as it cracked the wood in half with a loud bang at half th...
power to split IT
Would Recommendlike the design of the guide to keep the ram straight, the engine floods very quickly and when it does it has a hard time pulling the rope, runs and operates smooth in both positions horizontal and vertical very easy to switch from one to the other, good sized gas tank, plenty of power
