WORST PRODUCTS EVER

WORST PRODUCTS EVER..... WE BOUGHT AN ENTIRE APPLIANCE PACKAGE AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES... WE ARE NOW ON OUR 2ND RANGE, MULTIPLE DISHWASHER REPAIRS AND NOW MICROWAVE IS SPARKING AND IS A FIRE HAZARD. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE PRODUCTS. PRODUCTS ARE ONLY 14 MONTHS OLD

Like the ease of use controls. whether its the 30 second or minute(s) buttons to cook items. The features are great. Enjoy the selections too. Front display could be brighter to see words for each.

Fire Hazard - DO NOT BUY

n 2023 we bought over $20k worth of Cafe appliances including this microwave. Everyone has broken within two years. You think you are getting a high end product, it is not made to high end quality. The microwave was the most recent to break (and the only appliance we did not get an extended warranty on). The microwave started sparking and you could smell burning electrical wires. A fire hazard. One GE customer-service representative told us if the repairman confirms that the microwave has ...

Sparks.

Sparks just like others have said. Only had this microwave for 3 years. Very disappointed that the company knows this is an issue and is dangerous but is not fixing the problem.

We have installed GE Cafe appliances in our previous home and now in our new home. We are disappointed with this microwave. Same issue as you will see in several reviews here. Sparking badly and it looks exactly like the other reviews where the drawer has worn away paint and it is sparking. GE needs to help on this!

Very disappointed!

I’m in the arcing and sparking club as well. There is a black mark on the right side floor of the microwave, a burn mark and hole in the right rear. It looks like the right wheel is not working well and caused an unbalanced drawer that scraped the microwave. Has GE found any sort of resolution, a new design, a new model, a recall? Arcing and sparking is a safety issue. This microwave should be recalled and not sold anymore.

Sparks

Back right corner sparks and is arcing out. Just like everyone else's, but just out of warranty. Afraid it's going to start a fire. GE/CAFE, please help us out!

Same arcing and sparking issue installed 20 months

Well I guess I’m in the arcing and sparking club as well. Mine looks like white fireworks on the 4th of July and there is a burn mark in the right rear. Has anyone found any sort of resolution. This was an expensive mistake. I see some people are talking about a specialty paint product that can cover the burn mark and possibly allow normal function again. This is out of warranty. For those who replaced what is another one with the same dimensions? Not buying this again obviously.

Didn't last with low use!

Love the drawer because it works great for someone who is not able to reach to counter top. Bought this in 2023 July and June of 2025 it is arching (sparks) and if course it is out of the manufacturers warranty. Not good. There are 2 of us and the use is minimal.

Replacement Microwave

So far so good. This is a replacement MW. The first one did not work. So off we go

Looks Can Be Deceiving

I have had this microwave over a year and it has already needed service twice and a whole new control unit. It gives off an awful smell while in use now as well. Would NOT recommend the whole Cafe line .

Another identical Arcing Issue (To other reviews)

As many others have said, there is a defective part on the roller wheel/ casting/coating and has caused a black burn mark in the back of the microwave. We are not able to use it because of how bad the arcing is. We use the microwave correctly, never putting metal or foil in it, ever, haven't used "recycled paper towels with small metal pieces" or plates with a metallic trim or glaze. This is a defective part as almost 200 other people have stated. The part doesn't look like we can buy and replac...
