Great purchase

I bought a corded weedeater because I have a large yard and I cannot use a regular has weedeater because they are too heavy for my bad back. This one is terrific. The self-feeding spool makes use so easy, no tapping. Plus it is very simple to change the spool when empty.I liked it so much I purchased one for a family member, who also finds it to be so easy to use. I definitely recommend it for anyone that needs a lightweight option.

Does the job

Trims the weeds and works good as an edger. Was able to cut light brush down to size with ease

I like the heavy line (.085) as to using the (.065) trimmer line.

Have had this trimmer style for years. Loved it. Recently broke it. Couldn't believe the price Lowe's was offering. Great quality product for something I needed. Should have bought more to give away as gifts.

Uses 1/2 Spool per yard trimmed

Purchased to replace battery-powered B&D trimmer. Like that the head twists and the wheel for edging. BUT the self-feeding feature causes the line to advance to the point that it uses 1/2 a spool each time I trim my small yard and at $8/spool that's a bit much.

Uses line pretty quickly

This weed whipper has plenty of power. Two items, one it uses line pretty quickly (I have heavy weeds) and the cord keeper is not real good at keeping the cord attached to the whipper. Multiple times it quit because the cord had disconnected at the whipper. Lastly, wear boots when using, it has a LOT of power and I whipped my ankle once! Quite painful....

Above average trimmer for my needs

I bought this to replace a broken Weedeater gas model and wanted an electric trimmer. I only trim a feet around a few flower beds and mailbox, etc so this works pretty well. It has plenty of power and the moving around a cord is not an issue. The only two things I ma not too thrilled about are the AFS, automatic feed system for the line . It works randomly and usually when the trimmer line hits something solid like house foundation or mailbox, but seldomly is the grass. I have had to manual...

Easy Handling Trimmer/Edger

Bought this recently used it 4 times once per-week, so far no issues works well. Powerful enough for basic edging & trimming. I don't think for more dense- higher growth better for basic lawn care. The trim line works okay no issues but appears to go fast, almost empty on my first roll after 4 usages..Overall good ! Had a B&D Grass-hog for 10 years before it died, this appears close to my new model..

Cannot change out the spool or replace the string

It works great until you run out of string, after that there is no way to change out the spool as it is attached to the spool cover, so you'd have to replace that entire assembly. I've owned other string trimmers that were dirt simple to change the string. The user manual is largely indecipherable.

Trimmer

After one week I had to return it. The string would get jam, the metal pole between handle and the bottom would get so hot that you could not touch it. Just not worth the money

It works, it really works!

For the small yard that I have, this is great. Easy to assemble and lightweight to carry all day if needed. I love the switch from trimming to edging.

This tool is great for edging and weed trimming. Has more than enough power and fits the hand great.

My wife wanted a string trimmer to do the edges of our lawn. I thought she was kidding (you know the joke about the guy who buys his wife a vacuum cleaner for their anniversary), but she really meant it. She loves using it & tells me almost every time- it's lightweight and she is small so it works just fine for her.

No Spool Issues for me

I originally wanted a weed-wacker. When I couldn't find one I ended up with this string trimmer. I'm glad I did as this thing does a lot more than whack-weeds. The wheel adds a nice feature to edge the lawn and flipping from wheel to not-wheel is easy. I had initial issues trying to plug it in until my wife suggested I use an extension cord. Good call. Much easier to reach all of the yard with an extension cord. I have not experienced the spooling issues that other have. I use it every oth...
