Ratings & Reviews for Backyard Discovery Mount McKinley Residential Wood Playset ( Installation Included )

BILT app was terrific

The BILT assembly app was a huge help, more detailed than the manual. Had to have a split board replaced. This was done without question or hesitation. Parts were well labeled, thankfully, because the assembly process is long, but not overly complicated (if you pay attention to part orientation when instructed to do so). The kids enjoy it, especially the lower area we converted to a sandbox. The real test is time, info we simply don't have yet.

Great Swing/Playground Set

Overall great product. Provided extra hardware in case pieces were dropped or unusable. One note is to be careful in the diagrams for building the base. Some of the pictures flip the point of view. This throws off the actual location of hardware.

Good swing set

The swing set was not too complicated to put together. All the pieces came in two boxes. I do wish the wood was just a bit sturdier and thicker. But the set was good for the price and my 4 and 7 year old love it.

Mount McKinley

My daughter absolutely loves it! The 3D app is a life saver. It does take more time if you put it together yourself but it’s totally doable!

Best purchase ever!!

Excellent piece of equipment! Worth the little bit of extra $ for the larger lumber very sturdy reasonably easy to assemble. Lots of play time!! Delivered a week earlier than expected!!

Almost perfect

Overall happy with our purchase. The delivery team was nice, courteous, delivered in a timely manner and even put it in the garage for us. It arrived without any damages. My 3 year old loves it. Only downside, it is for ages 3-10 but while my 7 year old nephew is swinging, it is unstable. To be fair, we have it staked into astroturf and not dirt. We will find a way to make it more stable. We did add a coat of weather proofing to protect it from sun and water damage since we are in a desert. ...

Love it

It is perfect for a 4 year old and his friends with many years of use to follow.

Great swing set

Great instructions, easy to follow. Swing set looks awesome and the grandkids love it.

Perfect

Everything about this was easy - purchase, delivery, and set up. So glad we paid for assembly - it took them quite a while to complete. It fits perfect in our backyard and we are very happy with the purchase.

Nice swing set

Instructions were good, you will have left over hardware. I reinforced the floor with some 2x4 ledgers and extra lag bolts. The anchors that come with it don’t look like they would hold much down so I bought some long ground screw anchors that bolt to each leg. And the slide kinda feels really cheap. I’d rather seen a solid one piece slide.

Mt. McKinley Wooden swing

considering all the parts and all the steps involved. the assembly went very well. The BUILT app was a plus plus plus..

Great. Solid set.

Bought this for the boys during the peak of the Covid lockdown and it was a lifesaver. Solid enough, great size and value for the price, and they’ve spent hours and hours playing on it. We’ve sealed it every six months as recommended, and it’s holding up pretty nice. Took a day to put up, but you kind of expect that.

Kids love it

Good quality wood and was delivered quickly last summer. Good experience with the installer through Backyard Discovery.

1 year later, still amazing!

We bought this swing set at the beginning of COVID to give our two girls (4 and 2) some excitement and the opportunity to still play outside despite the world around us. I couldn't be happier with our purchase. It's held up through tropical storms (no hurricanes yet, cross your fingers) and the scorching south Florida summer sun. Our backyard was transformed and is now the place to be. The app that gives 3D renderings on how to install was fantastic. I was able to put the entire swing set togeth...

Strongly Consider Assembly Assistance

If you are not a handy man or built for manual labor, pay to have a professional set up.

cheap wood

wood quality was kinda cheap, a few pieces already had cracks in them, a couple cracked during assembly, one piece of the decking cracked while my 2 6 year olds were playing on it (I'll have to reinforce or replace that piece). a couple of pieces straight out of the box were starting to laminate on the face of the pieces. all well I guess....
