Ratings & Reviews for Backyard Discovery Mount McKinley Residential Wood Playset ( Installation Included )

Lots of pieces, but easy to assemble.

The process of putting this together was a bit daunting. Nothing was pre assembled, but the directions were clear and easy to follow. It did take us about 8 hours with 3 adults. Everything was labeled and as long as we followed the steps and only got out the needed hardware as we went, it wasn't difficult.

LOVE it!

We’re so happy with this swing set so far! First, after reading reviews, I was nervous about how the quality would be, but I was pleasantly surprised! All pieces were clearly labeled and there were no missing or damaged pieces. My husband and I have little building experience. Before this, the most we’ve done is putting together bookshelves and desks. But the assembly went smoothly! The online diagrams were easy to follow. The only difficult part was putting the slide together. My almost 3 year ...

Perfect for toddler!

We bought this play set last month for our 2 year old daughter. She absolutely loves it and will master some of the other features (rock wall, hanging ladder) as she continues to grow. Her favorite parts are the ladder, slide, trapeze bar, and just hanging out on the landing area. My father and a friend were able to assemble it in 6 hours with no issues.

Do not buy this!!!

It took over a month to arrive. The product doesn't ship from Lowes, it ships from the manufacturer. The manufacturer uses a third party to ship it freight. When you buy this product from Lowes, you are dealing with three different companies. Tracking was terrible. Lowes can't provide you tracking. You have to call the manufacturer and then they put you in touch with the freight company. The freight company only updated the page three times in a month. The expected delivery date changed twice....

Kids Love it and easy to build

We got this for our 3 year old's birthday and I thought it was going to take several days to assemble. I built it myself, with some help from my wife in between her chasing kids around, in a day. The directions could use some re-ordering to make it easier to build, and there is over 10 different screw lengths, which seems excessive, most of my time was spent trying to figure out which fastener went where, but otherwise got it built relatively quick. Kids love having a playground in their own yar...

All the hardware was there plus some.

Take your time. Pay attention to bolt and or lag screw sizes.

Good buy

The instructions were descriptive and easy to follow. It took my husband and I about 10 hours to put together. The product is beautiful and we are satisfied with our purchase. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the green tarp came cut in several places and a couple pieces of wood came split.

Awesome deal

The set is great. No missing parts or pieces. Fairly straight-foward instructions. Pretty substantial structurally, especially given the 6 ground anchors that come with it. Only complaint is the ridiculous number of differently sized bolts and screws (they chose to reduce cost and weight by using as thin a board as possible for each piece, thus inflicting this hardware headache on the consumer). It took me 15 hours to assemble it by myself.

Easy to put together

Great product- the grandchildren love it and it was very easy to assemble.

Great play set, easy to assemble.

App is a lifesaver. Made it so easy to navigate the entire build. Took under 8 man hours to complete.

Quality

Superb quality of ingredients and excellent instructions. Lots of extra hardware to make up for those moments when something disappears. Bild app is outstanding (although it drains phone battery). Very well engineered — everything lines up perfectly. Great purchase and the kids love it.

Easy Assembly and High Quality End Result

This play set is not only sturdy but so easy to assemble! The app instructions with a 3D model of every step makes the assembly so simple. It took an entire day to assemble, but the finished product is worth it! The materials are excellent quality for the price!

Directions hard, but love it.

Directions were unclear. My husband built it in 10-12 hours and he is mechanically inclined. There were a few times he had to take pieces apart bc the directions were backwards.that aside, my 3 year old daughter absolutely loves it!

Not as bad as I thought.

I bought this a month ago and thought the wood seemed real thin and was putting off putting it together. Honestly, can’t comment on wood quality since it has not been long enough yet, but I will say that it was not as bad as I thought putting it together. One thing I will note, our box was missing multiple bags of screws that we needed and had bags of screws that didn’t apply to our set inside. Luckily I have a bunch of extra screws, nuts, bolts, etc, so it didn’t effect me but I’m sure other pe...

Perfect set for a small space!

We LOVE our set! It was straightforward to assemble and our kids (6,3) love playing on it.

McKinley Playground

This playground seems to be a great purchase. It is very sturdy and has a lot of different things for our kids to do. I assembled the playground by myself and it took several hours over two days to complete using the app, which is a must to download.

Perfect for my 6 and 10 year old!
