No heat

Flame is good, but it doesn't throw any heat into the room. We only have 700 sq ft and low ceilings. Very disappointed.

Don’t buy

Purchased Oct. 22, worked fine that winter. Only used approximately 6 times. Went to fire up today, no worky. Have a pilot light but burners will not light. Called customer service ar GHP group, on eternal hold. Waiting for return call. After reading several reviews today, should have read them before I purchased. Of course, out of warrant by less than a month, so no need to go to Lowes. Again, don’t purchase!!

Cannot do without these during the winter!!

Not vent free like listing describes

I bough this and all materials associated to install this fireplace just to find out that it is not truly vent free. The instructions included, clearly state that a vent for intake (combustion air) and exhaust is required for safe operation. This was very disappointing to me especially after investing in all the materials to install what I thought was a “vent free” fireplace

Installation Nightmare

The mini manual is attached to unit so you cannot read and install at same time. Instructions are terrible. Just bought and cannot get the thing to light :(

Better than expected.

This was easy to install and looks really good. The thermostat works as it should, just make sure you move it away from the heat source. It really heats up a large area and will be great for if power ever goes out.

Gas log purchase

Was very disappointed when I learned after online purchase/local pickup, that I could not arrange installarion through Lowes.

Total Junk

Purchased November 2022. Worked well through the winter though I had to frequently reset the remote. Pilot light lit in November 2023 but the flame bars would not light. Had HVAC company work on the set, nothing worked. Called the customer support department, they had no suggestion other than bleeding the gas line (despite pilot light working), and that did not work. Moved the largest log in the back for additional access and it literally cracked in half. I'm not going to bother with another cal...

Junk wasted $400.00

Bought fall 2022 worked great for the winter 4 months. Went to fire it up for Thanksgiving 2023 pilot lit right up...but no log flame at all! So it is only good for 4 months then the 1 year warranty runs out when you find out it doesn't work 8 months later. Lowes doesn't give a crap!...planned obsolescence designed to fail! Add a manual way to use it when remote doesn't work!

Easy install

Nice insert was easy to stall and looks great, keeping us toasty.

Don’t walk away, RUN

Purchased Nov 2022. Within a couple of weeks remote receiver box quit working had to get a new one. Fired it up for the first time this season. Box not working again. Changed batteries worked for less than 24 hrs. Totally regret this purchase. So much so that I am writing a negative review for the first time in my life.

Is not near as good of a product as advertised. Mine has quit working a year later after very minimal use. I called customer service and am highly disappointed. They want me to purchase a bunch of new parts. I’m going to report the. To the better business bureau!
