Easy installation

I was replacing an older unit, that quit working , which was a different brand, etc. This was packaged well, i saw other reviews about broken pieces, and would not work once installed. But....This was easy to install, packaging was good, set everything out on a blanket on the floor and inspected well before installing because of those reviews. I LOVE the remote control with this unit. The only trouble i really have found, is the thermostat for the unit, sits right inside the area being heated....

Looks, value and warmth in one package

This was well-packaged and very easy to put together. The operating instructions were clear and concise. Love the ease of operation, and welcome its safety features. Attractive-looking, it’s a great value for the money, and certainly adds value to our home.

Ease of operation

I would not recommend because it has a thermostat and even on the highest setting it keeps coming off and on. Therefore it never stays on and does not heat up the room.

Simple to Install

Easy assembly and installation. Easy to use. I prefer the appearance without the three small "upper" logs. Had a problem with the unit not staying lit. This was apparently caused by inconsistent delivery pressure from a 20+ year old 2nd-stage regulator on the house that needed to be replaced.

I don't get all the neg reviews

I have owned gas logs similar to this one, and I've learned a few things over the years to keep them running smoothly. One is to understand how these latch on/off gas valve controllers work, like the one on this log set. What I mean by latching, is the gas valve turns on with +6.3vdc and to shut if off, it requires a reverse -6.3vdc. Turns off flame automatically

flame stays on for 5 minutes then slowly gets smaller and turns off even when its still freezing in house and with window up. it will automatically reignite a small flame about 5 mins later. this log set sucks. wasted time and money. it is being returned.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!

I purchased this item on 11/27/22 and it worked fine for the winter. A year later, when we needed to use it, the receiver did not work. I had my order #, item #, invoice #, and date of purchase, but this was not good enough for the manufacturer to replace the receiver. I called Lowes's to get a copy of this purchase and they could not help me because it was over a year and I did not purchase a protection plan. Decent log set

Got this set on sale as a replacement for older logs. Relatively simple to install. The gas line goes into the back of the set instead of the bottom like my old ones. Looks nice while lit and puts out decent heat. The wire connections for the remote transmitter box are kinda short so I wired longer ones to get the box where I needed it. Comes with a bag of lava rock and rock wool “embers” that add to the look

Doesn’t burn properly

Every time it is turned on or if thermostat shuts if off and it fires back up the gas smell is overwhelming. This is not my first set and no other set has had this issue. I don’t feel safe using this set!

Gas Logs

Purchased to replace failed gas logs, no problems with installation and logs were set up for LP as was needed. These logs will work with Natural Gas since they are dual fuel. I would recommend this product and would buy again if needed. Thermostat feature works great.

Solid set of logs

The flame and logs look great, and it heats really well. The thermostat takes some getting used to and needs to be positioned properly, but is a fine feature.
