Would RecommendI'm not sure what product some of these reviews are referring to. The item I purchased was the Yardsmith Metal Hose Repair, model #8826 and it is entirely made of metal. It fits very tight in 5/8 garden hose. In fact I had to soak the hose in hot water before I could even insert the barbed connector. It probably took about 1/2 an hour to get the job done because of the extreme tightness, but once assembled the repair does not leak.
