What Customers Are Saying
The metal hose mender can be an effective and economical solution for repairing damaged garden hoses, though the quality of the included clamps is often poor. While the brass or metal coupling itself is generally seen as a good quality component, many reviewers found the clamps to be too narrow, prone to stripping, and unable to be tightened sufficiently to prevent leaks. When used with higher-quality clamps purchased separately, the mender was reported to work well without any leaks.

Would RecommendCoupling good, clamps subpar - too narrow and strip easily. Buy better clamps separately. I did try to use the clamps but 3 of 4 (two couplings) stripped, luckily had better clamps on hand. Note: coupling alone worth price even if the clamps suck.
Them said Lowe's is a great place to buy
Would RecommendI like everything from Lowe's they have many things for home
Weak clamp
Would Not RecommendHad a tough time getting the clamps open enough to fit around the hose; it seemed like they were too small. Then I tightened them, but one started slipping. There was no way to tighten it well. Both clamps seemed like they were unable to crush the hose against the bib. Weak product.
Ok fix
This product was ok but the second clamp was broken so I had to get another
hose clamps
The hose clamps are not as strong as they should be. Better to purchase additional separately.
