Right out of the box it sharpened an old pocket knife of mine.

Needs more improvement

This maybe good for yard tools, but not my expensive knives. I'm getting two different angles on each side of my blade, leaving my knife less than sharp. Improvements needed are as follow. The top bearing that the belt rides on is only half as wide as the belt causing deflection, leaving only a 1/4" sweet spot on the belt, this needs to be wider. #2 the angle guide needs a L shape to come out further and down closer to the blade rest to support the last inch of the knife, #3 needs a micro ad...

This tool is incredible I use this to sharpen these four different tools and I sharpened all four of them within a matter of 20 minutes unbelievable how sharp these things got and they cut really well really a very good product if you take your time and be patient to sharpen things

Sharp

Work Sharp - Knife and Tool Sharpener Mk.2, with its three varying gride belts allows you to get a ripe tomato slicing edge on my kitchen and pocket knives. The product instructions tell you all you need to safely operate and maintain this product. The size makes it easy to use when needed and store when not. The one thing I found wrong it doesn't have a part number available for the belts but they can be found on line.

Great tool to have

I found this sharpening tool to be great to use for all kinds of tools in shop and in the kitchen. If you follow instructions that are easy to use you will find this sharpening tool great to have. I have found this tool dose good job and puts nice edge on whatever you sharpen with it.

Easy to use and sharpens well

This sharpener is easy to use once you thoroughly read the directions to get the hang of everything and the adjustments. I used it to sharpen a pen knife and it worked great and quickly. It has a sort of guide that is removeable to sharpen items that won't fit easily in the guides such as hatchets. I removed it and used it to sharpen a branch cutter. Easy To Use

This knife and tool sharpener arrived ready to use with many kinds of sandpaper included with the device. The instructions were easy to use. Many different applications such as lawnmower blade sharpening, kitchen knife sharpening, garden tools, etc., make this sharpener's diverse uses a real plus.

First Use Seems Effective

I have sharpened my lawnmower blade once with this tool, but have not yet cut the grass with it. So, I do not know how often I will be needing to sharpen this blade now that I will not be taking it to the local lawn mower shop for $5 sharpenings once or twice a season. My go to for sharpening knives

I have never used one of these before so there was a small learning curve. I cut myself with a hand sharpener, so I don't trust those. With that said this one is completely safe, Haha! Once I learned how to use the sharpener, I started sharpening my main cutting knives. This product came with an easy to understand instruction manual. Additional instructional materials are available on line. The product came with three belts that were of varying coarseness. I used it to sharpen my kitchen knives. In order to achieve the sharpness that I wanted, I had to use the most coarse belt. It took a little time to get the proper motion down for sharpening the blade. It did sharpen the blades, but I think that a hand sharpener could have done as good of a job.

Good Quality - mediocre performance

The Workshop MK.2 sharpener is a great idea, but it tries to be too many things in one machine. It does a very good job sharpening my kitchen knives but a poor job on shorter knives like my pocket knife. Sharpening scissors is a long learning curve to get them just right. Sharpening tools like an ax can be done but the narrow ( 1/2 in) belt requires that you make many passes to get the whole blade. Works quick, not accurately and it's brittle

It makes quick work of putting a new edge on knifes but alignment is a bit fiddly. You won't get chef sharp knifes but if you are just looking to get through that turkey, it will work. It has an adjustment toggle to switch from 20° to 25° that broke the first time I used the sharpener. This is only for knifes/long cutting blades. I tried it on a chisel and it rounded it over (it was a beater chisel so no real loss there.)

This tool is very quiet in operation, which surprised me. It is designed to sharpen kitchen knives and pocket knives. It also sharpens tool like scissors and lawn mover blades. It comes with 6 different belts (2 belts of 3 different coarseness levels). The manufacturer provides an easy to watch video to see how the tool works. I’m impressed with the versatility of the tool. It’s perfect for sharpening kitchen knives for the holidays and will be ready to sharpen mower blades next season.

I was somewhat skeptical of this sharpener at first glance. Boy was I wrong!! This sharpener is very easy to use if you follow directions. There are several videos available as well. The first knife I sharpened was a very dull 10 year old steak knife. I made sure I rested it against the guide and stopped with the tip of the blade on the belt.
