More than capable and does a great job!
Would RecommendWhen I ordered this sharpener, I was a bit concerned about being able to easily use it. I’m not a power user, and was worried about being intimated by a belt sharpener. My concerns were misplaced! Easy to setup and use, brought new life to several scissors, and many kitchen knives. The guides are clearly marked and easy to use for either scissors or knives. I don’t have hunting knives, but this tool is definitely capable of sharpening ANY knife to a sharp edge. Great guidance, and easy to use. D...
Good for the price, but get the upgrade
This knife sharpener does the job. The knives get crazy sharp with little skill needed. However, I have been you the Ken Onion edition also and it’s better all around. It has variable speed that can be locked on and can be adjusted to any angle. The Ken Onion edition also uses a bigger belt (3/4in wide vs 1/2in) and has a beefed motor. The biggest advantage of the Ken Onion is the able to pair it with the knife grinder attachment that uses a 1inch wide belt. The larger belts make sharpening expo...
Works well as a universal sharpener
Would RecommendI was able to use this to sharpen my kitchen knives and my pocket knife without much trouble. Changing the belts is pretty simple, and there are guide blocks for sharpening at standard angles for kitchen and pocket knives (20/25 degrees). I would recommend this if you want a single device that can sharpen knives, chisels, planes, etc... It isn't as easy to use as the dedicated sharpeners I have, but it does a decent job as a universal sharpener. Also, this is a light duty tool, you're goin...

Fast, All-in-One, Transformer
Would RecommendReceiving the Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpener Mk.2 initially I thought I was in over my head to operate but this tool and the included printed material served as a safety guide and investment preserver. Work Sharp has really put some thought and time into making a tool that can be used in so many different applications. The guides and rest for cutlery being work on are a sturdy harden plastic with can be adjusted to keep an angle of approach to get the sharpest edge with minimal impact on ...
No more hand sharpening for me
Would RecommendBefore I start my review I must explain that I wanted to do a video on this product but was unable to due to a hand surgery. I will try to explain in detail each photo taken. First of all, I have hand sharpen my knives for many years and have never used an automatic sharpener. Well, that was until I tried this product. Knives and scissors are sharpened in several passes. The “Work Sharp” tool comes with a well reference placard, instruction book, several extra belts (coarse, medium, and fine),...
First electric sharpener
Would RecommendFor my first electric knife sharpener I have one from Work Sharp and it is also a tool sharpener. I have to start by saying I love it. Not only does it handle pocket, hunting, and guthook knives but, kitchen, filet, and serrated knives. After sharpening and honing scissors, you can set it up as a hand held sharpener for axes, mower blades, shovels, and other garden tools. I'm sure there are many other uses as well. This Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpener is quality made and very versatile. Wi...

Very easy and effective!
Would RecommendWow this is slick. Look at the chart that comes within the box to see what sanding grit to use and how many times and watch a dual knife turn into the sharp knife it once was. It spins slow enough that you aren't shooting sparks everywhere and i sharpened mine at the kitchen table with little clean up. Only thing I will say is that make sure you stop the process before pulling your knife out or you will round the tip. I forgot to attach my photos with the original review.
Really impressed
Would RecommendI have tried many sharpeners over the years and very few have impressed me. I was a bit skeptical of this one until I tried it. I have used it on pocket knives, kitchen knives, fillet knives, skinning knives and on various machetes and it has done well on all of them.

Super sharp
Would RecommendI absolutely hate dull knives. When I use a knife I expect it to cut clean and easy. My wife is sick of me complaining about our knives and me looking to replace dull ones with new ones. I’ve tried sharpening stones and simple sharpeners. I would get a good edge on a knife but it wouldn’t last. I know that part of the problem was probably me. From the first use of the Work Shop sharpener I was impressed. The first knife I sharpened was a pocket knife (pictured). The edge was ok and cut paper, bu...
Easy to use
Would RecommendThis is very easy to use. Very safe with guards in place to keep your hands away from the blade. Easy to change out belts. I’ve seen others that did a better job at sharpening a knife but at a mush higher price tag. I’ll go with this one for sure.
Full featured but maybe too much
Would Not RecommendThis product seems like it can sharpen just about anything. And I feel that somewhat detracts from the usability. While this does sharpen the knives I've put through it well, it did take me a minute to really grasp how to use it, and in the process flattened one tip pretty bad. So I'd suggest a practice piece first. Once you get it down, it is fairly easy to use. I tried to sharpen a small bladed pocket knife and the guides were a bit short to keep the knife steady and straight. Another knife di...
Best Kept Secret
Would RecommendThe Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpener MK 2 has many attributes when it comes to sharpening a multitude of edges. I was blown away with the quick and easy way to changing from sharpening a knife to grinding my lawn mower blades. The angle guide was another way to ensure a quick and easy way of honing a blade with little effect or setup. In addition, I viewed several videos online before using MK-2 because I had several expensive hunting knives needing-honing and without fell Mk-2 restored them...
