Dryer Performance

Look of the unit is nice. On a performance level I find it is average to good. It seems that the mixed dryer level doesn't delineate between say jogging shorts and towels. Needed New Mother Board

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It’s our second Whirlpool ventless as the first one was a lemon and they eventually replaced it. Replacement was ok for 6 months and mother board was just replaced. Crossing our fingers nothing else happens.

Cleans well

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) has worked well since date of purchase. only downside is 5 months after i got it it started to have a tiny leak out the front and there is now an ugly rust stain on it. I'm told it is because i had dog hair that was stuck in there? I've always ensured to wipe my machine in between loads so thats a little frustrating, but it does clean well. I just keep a towel in front of the washer and no problem. Oh and a baring is about to need to be replace...

Awful

This dryer was already in the house we bought and it has been such a pain! It takes forever to dry loads. You can wash 3-4 loads in the time one load dries, which is not practical at all. If the load is small it will automatically adjust the time to 20-30 minutes which does not dry the load so you’re constantly checking and restarting the load. For no reason our door just stopped closing. We looked at the latches and nothing appears out of place, the door just won’t shut. So now we have to duct ...

Don’t care for the filter way down by the floor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Heat pump works well. Our old house doesn’t have an electrical plug close to a window for venting a dryer. For us, the heat pump is the perfect solution.

Fantastic if you have 3 hours to dry one sheet

Received this from the contractor in a brand new condo. It literally does not dry. I put one sheet in it and it takes 3 hours to dry. Then i spray linen freshener on the bed because it smells like humidity from being wet so long. Highly dissapointed with this product

Experience with Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It takes 5-10 minutes to clear Filter Indicator Light after cleaning; dryer won't start without it. "Extra Dry" option can't be selected. "Save Time" & "Gentle" options can't be selected. You don't have tech support besides having Technician coming to the home. Still experimenting with settings to get best dry time for various loads.

It seems to take longer to dry things than my previous dryer per load. Has a lot of features,dont know that I will use them all. The only issue I have is the dryer makes a buzzing noise,,installer said it was due to a cover in the back and they can fix it,,,probably inherent to the machine

Very Poor Performance

Clothes come out soft because they tumble for 90 minutes. The heat is non existant for at least the first 20 minutes and then ever so gradually builds a bit. The settings are the worst feature, Bulky/Bedding is the only one of any use to get the heat, make that warmth, referenced above. And yes, this thing will tumble sheets and towels into a very firm ball of moist fabric. Great matching washing machine but the dryer is a complete fail.

Great that it's ventless & energy efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the energy efficiency and no vent. Keep in mind two filters to clean. One is easy and just like a "normal" dryer. The second is a bit harder to clean and I am a bot concerned that I will need to replace this filter every 6 months to a year.

HORRIBLE

I bought this dryer after being told it was a great choice for an apartment. Belt broke on it after about a year. This dryer is absolutely horrible. It takes about 3 hours to dry off a small load of laundry. I cannot dry towels anymore. Forced to use a laundry rack to air dry. Total waste of money. Spent like a thousand bucks on this useless piece of garbage. DO NOT buy. Check other websites, they all give this product horrible reviews

Great for apartments. It’s in my kitchen.

I bought an adapter that I added to the kitchen pipe, drilled a few holes in my cabinets to route the hose and voila! It is small but big enough so it’s perfect for me. I didn’t realize it had an internal heater so I was moving the hose between hot & cold under the sink but now that I know. I will try the heater. Hasn't worked since we brought it home!

A technician has come over three times now and it still doesn't work. Last time he was here (2 weeks ago) he said he would look into getting us a replacement, but we haven't heard back from him or Whirlpool since. I've left 3 messages with the technician just to get an update, but haven't even received a response.

Cannot use chlorine bleach, disgusting!

You cannot use chlorine bleach and after a long chat with customer service, they were unable to explain why. What parts would be damaged by using chlorine bleach and if those parts are replaceable. Shouldn't customer service be able to explain or have a tech person help? It is disgusting to not use bleach with towels and sheets. This washer is a total waste of money.

Ventless Dryer for Condo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted a washer and ventless dryer for my condo. It takes a little longer than a regular dryer but it works great. It fits perfectly in a closet.
