Hard to clean

Like so many other reviews, we found that this dryer was impossible to clean and the filter stopped working and we had to clean the metal grate with a toothbrush, which didn’t clean very well. I stopped using it as I felt it was unsafe due to the lint build up.

Doesn't dry clothes well

I have owned this machine for a few years now, and it has never dried my clothes properly. It is faster to hang things to dry, then put them in for a final dry. If you mix fabrics of any kind in a loas it will not dry (eg a face cloth ends up in your t-shirt load). The filter at the front has completely disintegrated and I don't know where to fins another replacement. Abysmall product design

Like many others who required a compact dryer, I found there appears to be a very limited selection available. I have purchased other Whirlpool/Maytag appliances before, all with some issues, however the design of this ventless dryer is a masterpiece of epic design failure. Cleaning of the bottom metal fins (heat exchanger) is an almost impossible task for the average owner. Frustrated

Initially very happy but after a year the lower sponge filter was falling off the holder so that the machine would stop. A service visit resulted in a new plastic holder with a new improved container to hold the sponge filter. Now we have more things to clean. We have followed the filter cleaning instructions in the manual. But just discovered that there is a metal filter behind the removable bottom filter. Who knew? Great value!

We have owned the compact washer dryer stackable (4.3 cu. dryer) for two years now. Both units perform as advertised, and have not required any maintenance or warranty issues. Very pleased with this purchase.

Terrible dryer

Does not dry clothes at all, I have to run it minimum 3 times with a VERY small load to get it “mostly”dry. I’ve tried all the different temps and types of drying and still doesn’t dry anything.

Bought it nearly 4 years ago. It has never dried well at all. We bought it because it would fit under a countertop like our front load washer. Very disappointed with this machine.

Love how clothes feel

I bought this a few years ago because I live in a passive house and needed a ventless dryer. I read mixed reviews but this was the only option so purchased it. I have been very happy with it. Yes, there are times a sock gets stuck in the sheets but I can deal with the small quirks. The clothes feel so soft, like nothing I've experienced before in a dryer. Right now I need a new bottom filter but can't find where to get one. Any suggestions?

No heat but dryer runs

This unit came with the condo. It has never produced heat until today! These units are equipped with water tanks to hold the water that comes out of the clothes. We couldn't understand why the dryer would run but didn't dry the clothes. If the water tank is full or nearly full it stops producing heat to prevent the water from overflowing. Would be helpful if this information was included in the troubleshooting portion of the directions. It also locks you out of many of the machine features...

Lasted 2 years!!

I have never been more disappointed in a purchase ever. After 2 years it does not dry clothes even after multiple cycles. I have cleaned the filters after each use but after lloking at Youtube videos I am convinced the problem is a clogged condenser behind the bottom filter. The entire machine has to be disassembled to get at it and the cost is almost as much as I paid for the machine. I truly hope the engineer who designed this isn't still designing appliances, this has been a huge disappointme...

Worst Dryer Ever

Dryer came new as an appliance package with my condo I bought a year and a half ago and I knew I should expect the drying time to be longer than a normal vented dryer but it takes anywhere from half a day to several days to have anything dry in this thing. And the clothing always comes out smelling musty. Great concept terrible in reality

We just bought our house and this dryer and washer came with the unit. Had I know the headache we would have endured with this unit I may have swapped them before we moved in. The dryer filter and ventless filter needs to be cleaned every single time. Also only some of the settings work like I can only use time dry and I have to set it at over an hour otherwise every time you hit start after 3 minutes it errors out to E1 and F9. This item was supplied to us by the company that owns our building, as we work for them, they installed the washer and dryer in our office due to Covid. Grateful for this, but the sponge filter replacement unit on the bottom of the dryer needs to be more accessible in Canada. One cannot purchase these anywhere.... DO NOT buy

This dryer came with our house and because it was only 3 years old we didn't think it would be so horrible. It doesn't dry anything! There are times we leave the dryer on over the entire night and it would feel like we just took it out of the washer. We don't have the option of air drying our clothing as we live in a tiny space and often end of taking it to a laundromat. I have cleaned out all the removable filters but makes no difference.

the dreaded F01 code. broke after just 4yrs !

we bought this just 4yr ago. we both work up north 2/3 of the time so the machine really is used little. and today the dreaded F01 code came on! also the filter in the bottom clogs way to easy and needs cleaning basically at each use!!

This is very poorly designed dryer

The filter system in the bottom left does not work, There is a part that is not removable for cleaning. Never drying after hours. Matching washer not much better, takes hours, stains don’t come out. My 40 plus year old Maytag only needed a belt, but I bought this pair, don’t make the same mistake. Will never buy any Whirlpool product again.

The most frustrating thing I have ever used

Staying at a brand new Airbnb and have never been so annoyed with a dryer. Like all of the other reviews, it simply takes HOURS to dry. I started a load at 1pm and had to restart the dryer 5 times until I was "satisfied" with the amount dried at 7:30pm. I tried different settings thinking maybe I was using the wrong one, but nope. Not a good product

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It came with my condo purchase so I did not choose. It never completely dries towels even though I run over two hours. Sad I am stuck with it at least a couple years.

A learning curve for sure

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Once the dryer is hooked up properly so it doesn’t leak all over the floor and once you learn the warnings and where all the filters are, it’s a very nice dryer. It’s not the kind where you put the clothes in, dial the knob, turn it on, take the clothes out when dry and empty the filter. So if you don’t want to learn the quirks and directions of the digital dryer, don’t buy it. Otherwise ok. Would I buy it again…..no.
