Great pair compact washer and dryer

I have had this pair for 3 weeks. Very pleased with them. I would like to be able to programme the rinse and spine at same time as rest of programming but this is a minor matter. I had them installed by a Whitlpool technician. (Same company I have used for alliance repair for more than 10 years). Minimal vibration. No walking. Very quiet. He was able to install the alternative to the dryer water container so the water goes down the drain with washer water. BONUS! As for no hot water hook up, y...

Better Than Expected

Great Features

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We bought this a month ago to replace an Asko. We thought it would be quieter but didn't count on it having a compressor. That feature works great because there is no vent. The heat is created by the heat pump and water from the clothes is condensed into a tank that can be spilled out or plumbed directly into a drain. And surprise, it's manufactured in Europe and costs half as much as Asko or Miele.

Compact but really efficient

I just start using thie appliance as off July 16/2018.This is a small model of only 24 inches. but iy comes with 10 gigfferent washing cycles.I have used already most of them and I can guaranty that each one is very efficient. The appliance is very quiet. This is a very good product and I recoomend it.

A dryer that does not dry

It takes forever to dry towels, sheets, etc. The dryer sheets get stuck in the lint trap. I regret this purchase and would return if I could. I will be shopping for a real dryer. Probably not Whirlpool.

We need dry cloth...

Early this year we bought this compact ventless dryer #YWHD5090GW along with the matching washer #WFW5090GW. We like the washer and the compact sizes, especially no need for drying vent. However, then dryer is not performing to our expectations...we're constantly extending the drying time to get cloth dry. Please Whirlpool, tell us if we're doing something wrong...very frustrated consumer!

Love it

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Don't understand the complaints. I use this machine according to instructions. The clothes are dry and wrinkle free. The big duvet dries completely with one repositioning of it during the cycle. The stacking kit is of poor quality and would get one star if reviewed. I got rid of it and had a very strong shelf (Cabinet) built for the dryer to sit on. Both the washer and dryer got treated to heavy duty rubber feet.

GREAT WASHER - worth the money!

Takes minimal space but washes good sized loads, quiet, lots of wash options, easy on clothing. When I put it on high spin the clothes come out practically dry.

Great small capacity washer

I didn't want to tear out the counter in the laundry room so we opted for a space saving model. We have always had good luck with Whirlpool products so we chose this one. You can actually get quite a lot into it. Some of the reviews I read said it was very loud and actually walked across the room in spin cycle. I find it to be very quiet...

No chlorine bleach

I bought the washer/dryer stacked unit two weeks ago. The size is perfect for our laundry closet. I'm adjusting to having to empty the water reservoir for the dryer, but I'm having a difficult time not being able to use chlorine bleach in the wash cycle. There is no dispenser slot to add any and the instructions clearly warn against using the bleach.

A peace of mind

manual is hard to follow

Vacation rental owners - beware! This machine is not user friendly to strangers, ie. vacationers who are not familiar with your machine. Since it is a compact machine I would imagine it's a popular size for apartments, condos or vacation rentals. I bought it to replace my 2004 Whirlpool washer of the exact same size. I bought Whirlpool because I have a fairly new Whirlpool dryer of the same size. I actually really dislike this machine but did not want to give it 1 star. Here is what I don'...

Overall good performance

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Good cleaning performance. Spinning cycles, regardless of speed and load size, are noisy and the washer vibrates to the point of moving. I cannot discern whether the internal heater works since the machine does not indicate actual temperatures and is always cool to the touch.
