Good for simple light projects

Purchased this soldering iron to replace one that died. After 40 pcb commections, the tip looked as in the photos. Given the price and limited access of replacement tips , I am .........disappointed.

Disappointed

Purchased this item to replace an older one that finally quit. After soldering 40 pcb connections the tip appears as in the photos. Add to this the limited availability of replacement tips only at a price that seems bit high, this was a disappointing experience.

Did not last

I'm a professional electronics tech and have used Weller irons extensively for 25 years. I usually get the 3 LED 25 watt iron, and I go through 3 a year (I solder 40 hours a week). This one simply did not last more than 2 months before not getting hot anymore. Out with the old, in with the new? I don't think so....

Best little soldering iron ever

Solder without ease!

Really great soldering iron! Great ergonomic grip. It fits like a pencil in your hand. The led light makes it easy to see the small components while soldering. I do wish the cord was longer so that I have some slack. It’s challenging when the cord is short and you don’t have a receptacle close.

Cheap item

after 1st use, the soldering iron never got hot again to even melt the solder. was basically a waste of my hard earned money. Will not recommend this to anyone.

Where has Quality Gone

Absolute junk. Lasted 4 times, then won't get hot. Weller used to be worth something. Now, just a paperweight.

30w Weller iron

I was looking for a 15/30w iron. I like the LED ring for providing additional lighting under my layout. I'll have wait on durability, hopefully, it'll last as long as my old Radio Shack 15/30'

Good Price, Good Soldering

I needed a soldering iron in a hurry, so I picked this one up at Lowe's. It works fine, and the light is a nice feature.

They may be good, BUT NOT THIS ONE

Plugged it up to use it when I got home and it HAS NOT gotten over room temp yet Hav yet to return it because the closest Lowes is about 70 miles from me in a direction that I do not travel often
