Great device

Great addition to another great product our Weber genesis grill. A friend of our had one and we couldn’t be out done. Glad we made the purchase.

INTRICATE DESIGN, JUST DOESN'T LAST

I'm outside the two years for sure, but this was a hit and miss thing from the early times of ownership. Summit BBQ - great. Expensive. This light doesn't fit the Weber reputation.

I purchased this light to replace my old weber light that worked for years and died. I got less then i season out of this light. I pulled it off the grill and like so many others here it was full of water

Great concept, poor product

I've had my Weber grill for a year and haven't been able to get the light to function when needed. Note it won't turn off!

Poor design

I bought this to replace the head lights I'd used in the past. The light failed due to water ingress in less than 6 months of service - formed corrosion and ruined electronics inside.

Good idea, doesn't work well though.

I included the light when I purchased the grill. I thought it would be nice and light the grill area well. It is not a very bright light at all. Save your money on this item.

Concept is great but . . .

My second Weber grill light lasted about three months before it completely stopped working. The first one stopped after nearly two years. Love the light when they work, disappointed they won’t last. Weber name suggests quality, these lights need to reengineering.

Disapointing

I bought this light about 6 months ago from Lowes. The light switch would turn the light on or off. Then a light rain came and the LED filled with water. It no longer works. Waste of money. This light also doesnt fit the older Spirit 300 as my handle is thicker.

Bought last year. Lasted less than a season. Disappointed.

Does not work after less than a few months

I received this as a gift for Christmas and it is already broken and does not work after less than 6 months. I replace the baterreries but that is not the problem.

Does not seal properly. Leaks within a few weeks.

Bought this product for the first time about last year with my Webber grill. After a bought a month water started to leak into the unit and it stopped working. Since it was slightly complicated to put together I assumed I didn't do it correctly and this spring I bought another to replace it. Same thing happened once again. The unit does not seal at all and now I see this is a recurring issue after looking at the reviews. Unfortunately this product doesn't love up the the high quality standards f...

Won't turn off

Great idea, but doesn't turn off. Ever. Expect more from Weber.

Didn't last one month

Housing flooded during rain while covered. Just like everyone else experienced these are apparently not waterproof... at all. The Grill was covered during several heavy rainfalls, which means either the weatherproof cover isn't or the housing is so poorly sealed the evaporation was the cause of the housing flooding.

Total garbage

Bought this a year ago. Grill always covered and due to poor design, unit filled with water and won't light. Didn't save my receipt as I figured 'how hard can it be to build a proper flashlight in 2018?' I would say it's not up to Weber quality standards, but now they make everything (including grills) in China to lower standards to save money. Funny that the grills get more and more expensive though...

Rain Leaked in!?

Worked great until it did not. I unscrewed to check batteries and water dripped out. The led circuits and battery had corrosion and bulb area had water in lens after 1 month.

Undependable

Thought it needed new batteries but after replacing them it didn’t work. On further inspection the light source appears burned out.

Junk

These handle lights are terrible. Hard to assemble, not as water tight as they should be, batteries corrode very easily. Time for Weber to re-invent the wheel on these, especially on a grill at this price range (Summit S670)

Was excited .... now in the dark

bought, installed, loved it .... sigh we got some rain (LOL in southern CA) with grill cover on .... light is not weather ready ... had water in battery and light area .... no water on grill ... Weber designers need to add weather gaskets to keep moisture out ... went back to my handy all weather shop light

Illuminates well but not weather tight.

The light fills with water and then the board corroded and does not work. Less than a year old.

Poor Construction and Same Issues with water

I bought this grill in June of 2017 and didn’t even get through the first season with these lights. I didn’t realize it was a recurring issue, but after looking to replace them I came across these reviews. I’m very happy with the grill but not these lights at all.
