great concept - poor execution

I bought one that promptly died. Weber replaced it under warranty and that one died after about 2 months. I bought another one and this one functions, but the plastic housing where it attaches to the Genesis handle is distorted due to heat. Made changin the batteries difficult.

time will tell

Yet to be determined. The previous one I purchased a few years ago started out great but apparently fell victim to the elements and became inoperable. This one appears to be a bit better designed and hopefully better sealed. We'll see.

Great light

This was a gift I purchased for our new grill. The light worked great as we had to cook after the sun went down with great results due to the new light feature.

Doesn't fit Genesis Silver

The outside of the box says that it fits Genesis series grills. Reading the web site, it says that it fits *current* Genesis and Genesis II grills. Too bad that must not be mine. There is about a half-inch gap that can't be closed in the mounting, because the Genesis Silver handle is larger.

Bad product

Received for Christmas. Primary screw won’t unscrew, just feee wheels. Makes the unit inoperable. Will return.

Garbage

Switch does not work and is intermittent..... Save your money and buy something better. I love my grill but their lights are garbage.

Dead after 1 year

I bought this light in November of 2018 and died before it was a year old. Weber usually makes great products but this isn't one of them.

Great When It Works

I bought the bbq light last grilling season and was happy with it. This season the light would not turn off. I tried repositioning it, moving it and nothing worked. It does not turn off. I’ve replaced the batteries on three occasions and it does not turn off until the batteries fail. I like the product but would like it to work. Can you help?

Stays on and randomly turns on

So excited to be a brand new Weber client. JUST got my grill home (in the photo you can still see the sticker residue on the cover) and the light is a MAJOR disappointment. It stays on and randomly turns on. It’s brand new, positioned correctly and installed correctly. I guess I should have read the reviews on this light? Hoping this isn’t a sign of a disappointing life with Weber products.

Stopped working after a year

Worked great at first. Light was plenty bright enough. Tried to use it last night. Changed batteries...nothing. Would not buy again!!

loved being able to see in the dark.

Received as a gift for Christmas last year and loved it but it didn't last until fall. Miss it but don't know why it died so am concerned about buying again.

Gets water in the unit and dies

Was given 2 of these as a gift last Christmas. I keep my grill covered. And still the lights got water in them and quit working. Also they are not quite long enough to shine the back or my grill. This is the first and only Weber product that hadn't been up to Webers standards. Love my 22" + 18" Smokey Mountains and my Summit!

Very poor water seal

Like so many on here, the issue is that it is not waterproof. Not even one summer and I noticed the light was glowing during the day so I thought it was dying batteries and when I opened it, there was water, not moisture, water everywhere. Can't find my receipt so I guess I have 1 more item for electronic's recycling

i WISH THERE WAS A RATING OF A 1/4 STAR

THIS IS MY 4TH ATTEMPT AT ON OF THESE IN 3 SEASONS. THE LATEST ONE ACTUALLY MELTED ON THE BOTTOM LEFT SIDE LIKE SOMETHING SHORTED OUT. MY GRILL IS ALWAYS COVERED WHEN NOT IN USE. I'M DONE WEBER, THIS IS A PIECE OF GARBAGE.

Wont last

Weber replaced it once, but when second one went I was out of 1 year warranty from original purchase and was not supplied another. Good when it worked, but don't waste your money unless you only need it for a few months. Great grills bad accessory.

Great product

Easy install and great for after hours cooking,love the easy on-off feature

Works great

Had mine for a couple years now. Works fine . I grill all year round and light has always worked . I do keep my grill covered too .
