Great while it worked.

Received as a Christmas present. Worked great - open grill, light turns on, nice and bright, close cover and light turns off - until it came on during use and would not turn off earlier this summer. Batteries eventually died, ok it was summer. Took the light off the grill to replace the batteries and found water inside. Replaced the batteries and the light does not shut off, a very dim glow, and doesn't brighten when you open the grill.

Works well

I’ve had mine for a year and it has survived the Florida summer rains. Thinking of giving one as a gift to a friend. Will this fit a Genesis Silver grill?

Love the light, but wish it had an off button

I bought this light a few months ago because it was similar to one I had on another Weber grill several years ago that I loved. I appreciate the simple design that integrates unobtrusively with the grill's handle and lights when you open the lid. My grill light no longer works

I’ve tried everything to get the grill light on my Summit BBQ to work - fresh batteries - but no luck. How do I get it fixed?

Bought this light last year Worked great thought is was a neat product Went to use it a few weeks ago and it didn’t work Took it apart today and found it was full of water Same story as other buyers have had happen Would only recommend if it always covered when not in use Had about a year and a half

Grill light

I also purchased this LED light in the spring. It is now September and I've got a hand held flash light helping me grill. I don't understand how Weber can make such a great grill (I love my Genesis) and cheap it on the handle light! The old design handle light actually lasted 4 years before it crapped out. I thought this new design would be better. No dice. It's a piece of junk!!!!

Not Waterproof

Worked great for a few weeks. But after a light rain the bulb area is filled with water and it stopped working. How is this device not waterproof? Waste of money

Rubbish product

Just went thru my 3rd Weber grill light, has failed again. My BBQ is covered when not in use and the light keeps failing, water keeps getting in somehow. Will not buy again and will not recommended. Weber should pull this product from its inventory, not up to Weber standards.

Not rain tight

Got wet when it started raining. I dried it out but it didn't put out much light after that. After several uses the heat from the grill melted it.

This light sucks! Fills with water!

This is the second light I purchased from home depot. First, one lasted 2 weeks, filled with water after a rain, and then never worked again. I thought I got a dud so I returned it to the store. They gave me a new one. I installed it, worked fine for a month so I threw out the packaging and receipt. A month later after a rain, the unit once again filled with water and is no longer working. Light won’t go off!

I’ve read a few other reviews on here that say the same thing. Been using this light for just a couple of months, and I loved it. But now the light won’t turn off! Replaced the batteries and same issue. Seems like a repeated problem for this type of light. Ugh.

Leaks in the rain!

I had purchased one of these in Florida and loved it so much I bought two when I returned home to Niagara Falls (CA). However within two months both filled full of water and do not work anymore.

light worked as expected for about 6 months. Then water seeped into unit and drips onto grill once lid is open, shortly after that the light would not work every time I lifted the lid, and now that I've finally decided to remove it I noticed the part of the light facing the grill melted.

Good when it works

Since I BBQ all year round I thought the light would be a good addition, however, the light is unable to withstand the elements. I thought maybe it was a battery issue so I dismounted the light and noticed moisture on the inside of the case. A thorough drying and new batteries did not help. Stopped working after about 1 year

Bought this for our covered patio for our new Spirit grill. Worked well for a year and then wouldn't turn off. Replaced batteries and same result. This is my second Weber grill and I love the grills and often recommend them to family & friends. We gave my Genesis to my son for his new home and then got a Spirit for my wife & I. Wish the light was a dependable as the grills.

Poor Quality, stopped working after just 2 yrs

I love the design and loved the bright lights when they worked, but I expected them to last longer than 2 YRS. This wasn’t a cheap grill, and I hate to put non-Weber lights on my Weber grill, but with the poor reviews of these lights, I am torn...

Love it. I own two. Light covers whole grill now. Twin lamps are better.

Works like a champ.

I was hesitant to purchase after reading some of the posted reviews. I pulled the trigger last fall and have been using light now for about 8 months. My Grill stays outside and covered with a Weber cover when not in use. The light has performed flawlessly and I have not experienced any of the issues described by some of the other posted reviews.
