I made the purchase three wks. ago and am gald I did. I recently purchased a double block home and most rooms had wall paper I wanted to remove. The first room I tried I did not need the steamer as the paper was so loose it came of in entire sheets and writing on the wall indicated it was put on 20 yrs. Ago. Worth the money

We dreaded this project. We have a large bedroom that we papered years ago. After trying several different ways to remove the paper and pulling the facing off the sheetrock, we gave up. I went to Lowe's and a team member suggested the Wagner Steamer. I would have needed to buy 7 bottles of wall paper remover at a cost of $41.16. I paid $54.88 for the Wagner Steamer and we removed all the wallpaper in 3 hours and some of the glue also. A time and effort saver. Well worth the money.

What a bargain!

Couldn't get the wallpaper off with gel stripper and needed solution right away. Lowes had 3 of these wallpaper steamers in stock, so I didn't have to order online and picked one up right away on a Sunday. The steamer works perfectly. I can steam a new wall every day after work until I have all the wallpaper removed. Not as good as I thought...

I bought this to take wallpaper off in a very small bathroom. It took about 25 minutes before it heated up enough to create the steam. I applied it over the wallpaper for about 10 seconds in each spot, as per the instructions. The wallpaper came off pretty decent, but the glue type paper underneath that did not come off very good at all. I preferred to use a small spray bottle filled with warm water and spray over the glue paper, but the key is to let it set for about 5 minutes. I took a small p...

Definitely worth the money!

First the bad. The first unit I purchased was DOA. It happens and as always Lowes cheerfully exchanged it for us. Second unit fired up as soon as we plugged it in. Setup is pretty straight forward. You fill the tank with water, attch the house and steam head, you plug it in. Takes about 15 minutes or so to start steaming. Couple of tips. Have a couple of towels handy and maybe even a bucket. Excellent product

I bought a steamer to try on 34 year old string cloth wallpaper. It worked so well that we immediately purchased a second. Steamers not easily shared, one to a worker for maximum results. Practice and patience required. The white plastic "hood" is very light weight and the steam hose sufficiently long. Set includes a small handy attachment for tight places. Per my request, the second steamer was at the customer service desk when I arrived.

Worked great on removing wallpaper that had a coat of paint over it.

Way too slow

Steamer heats water pretty fast but doesnt really put out enough steam to do the job.we stopped trying to use it and just put soapy hot water in a spray bottle.i plan to take this product back.

Worked great after we took top layer of wallpaper off.

Work ok so far. Very old house. Two layers of Wallpaper then paint then another Layer of thick wallpaper. Have to remove in layers. Soak then top layer then soak then layers with paint and older paper. Not easy but much better than other methods I tried

great if you need to remove a large amount

This is a great tool to use if you need to remove a large amount of paper. The plus is it uses only water no chemicals that could damage the floors or moulding. Saves over the chemical strip if needed fo a large(whole House) removial.

A real Work Horse

I bought this to remove 15 year-old wallpaper glue off my kitchen walls that was left when we stripped the wallpaper off and it worked like a charm. A lot of patience is required and definitely DO NOT use the perforating tool on only wallpaper glue because the combination of steam and the little holes this puts in the drywall paper turns into a pretty bad situation when you start scraping. Great Tool for a Good Price

Steaming is the only way to go. I now have two Wagner steamers and this one is even better than my 10 yr old one. You just have to be patient and let the steam do the work. Don't mess with sprays, scratchers, or any of that other stuff and buy this steamer.

I recently purchased a house that was covered in old, stubborn wallpaper that had to be removed. I tried to score and soak the wallpaper with stripping solution, but this method did not work well. That is when I purchased this steamer, and I was finally able to remove all the wallpaper in my new home. Although still a very slow process, this steamer was the only reason why I finished the job!

Great Time Saver

The steamer, along with other helpful ideas from the web, made the job of wallpaper removal efficient and less scary. Many people I talked to disparaged the thought of having to remove the wallpaper, but within ten to fifteen minutes I was clearing the wall and seeing a new perspective of rooms in my home. This is a great produce! You don't want to start wallpaper removal without it unless you enjoy repairing wall board.

What a great product

I purchased this steamer instead of renting one, and you should too! The Wagner steamer heats quickly (especially if you start with hot water) and is a breeze to use. Much better than those hulking rental units that make a mess and weigh a ton. The unit is very portable, compact, and simple. The two steamer heads work well, although I wish it had an attachment that had a pointed end (like a steam iron) for odd corners.
