Made the wallpaper removal easier.

I ordered this online for pick up but ordered from the wrong store by mistake. Customer service was very helpful in canceling the order at the other store and finding the product and bringing it to be checked out.

Good purchase

Takes longer than recommended time to heat up. Steaming longer than recommended time needed to scrape the wall paper off. Overall, it was a lot better and faster than spraying solution on the wall to scrape the wall paper. Steam is very hot. Make sure to wear rubber gloves and always point it away from self and other people. Make sure to protect the floor board or take them out before steaming because the steam turns into water and dripps down the wall to the floor.

Makes a crummy process easier

I had no idea what I was getting into when I decided to repaint my living and dining room. I'd been living with wine red walls in both rooms for years. I started out by taking down the hideous gold doorbell in the living room, which revealed a partially painted area behind it. The area that wasn't painted...exposed wallpaper. I had no idea it was under there. So I picked away at it, and discovered that underneath it was MORE wallpaper. Three layers in all. And in the dining room, under the chair...

Ligtweight, easy to use.

Used to remove a latex painted stipple ceiling! Not wallpaper! The latex paint quickly softened and peeled off easily. The stipple compound softened and was incredibly easy to remove with a putty knife.

Excellent Product!!

RUN. Do Not walk to buy this wallpaper stripper! This is by far the best product on the market for anybody that is trying to remove old, layered wallpaper. We had tried all the other suggestions. Gels, liquids, vinegar. You name it. Along with hours and hours of endless scraping to no avail.... This product removed it ALL in less than 2 hours! Seriously. Go buy this product, you wont be sorry. (p.s. Please do be careful though as it does get very very hot)

Good product for the price

I purchased my 705 today. I was expecting to be disappointed but found myself pleasantly surprised I'm stripping vinyl faced paper from days gone-by. I've been using DIF with predictable results. In 40 minutes I opened the box, removed all the ties and tape, filled it half way with warm water and stripped two 15 sections of paper. Of course I had to remove the vinyl facing.. A real timesaver!

Started out our wallpaper removal the old fashioned way by wiping wallpaper with hot water and fabric softener mixture and scraping and it was going excruciatingly slow. Then we found this wallpaper steamer and what a dream! It works really well. Start at the top of the wall and work your way across or down. A Life Saver

Ok, so nobody enjoys taking down wallpaper. Especially me! For 2 years my wife has been asking me to take down a border that she had put up by a professional when we built our house. Why did I not buy this from the start?

I had floor to ceiling floral wallpaper from the previous owner with a border on top. Everyone gave me tips as to how to get wallpaper off. Well I tried them all, I bought the scoring tool, the gels, tried vinegar, dawn, hot water, you name it. It literally took me an hour and a half to do a one foot section of wall by hand, without it even coming completely off. It was very frustrating. Well worth the Investment

For the cost of this product - we were way ahead of the cost of renting a steamer from a rental place. Even though it is made of plastic - it works well, creates sufficient steam, and is easy to move and maneuver. Liked the 2 steam paddles - 1 big and 1 small and ease of changing them. May need an extension cord depending on the size of the room. Biggest down side - takes a while to warm up to create the steam - can be upwards of 10+ minutes depending upon how full the water supply is.

Great product and time saver

I needed to remove a border before painting a room. I tried the chemicals (even going to full strength) and all the scoring tools. I was removing about a foot/hour. With some ~ 60-70 feet to remove, I contemplated hiring a pro just to get through the misery. The border must have been of the highest quality as it was nearly impossible to saturate with chemicals. Works great

Bought it to remove wall paper. I've never removed wall paper before. Works great Takes about 20 mins to heat up and I didn't anticipate this long so I worried it was broken the first time I used it. However once it heated up it worked much better than my black and Decker. And it will run about 80 to 90 minutes at least. It has a long hose so it can reach the top of the wall even with tall ceilings. Very happy with the purchase.

Best purchase ever

This product was such a time savor!! We originally started to peel wallpaper with the solution and a scrapper. It was working but not very quickly and we had to put a lot of muscle into it. After going out and purchasing this product we wondered why we waited so long to try it out. It would have saved us a lot of trouble if we had just used this from the beginning! It takes a bit for it to heat up but so worth it!

Great product

What a simple product this is. It was very easy to setup and use. It does take a while to heat but once it starts creating steam the tank gives enough capacity for over an hour of use. I did the job in two layers. First the top layer of the paper came off then I steamed the backing off. Once you get in a pattern of removing the top layer then the backing the job went pretty fast. Just be patient and let the steamer do the work.

Life saver

My home has wall paper from the 1960s over plaster walls. We were able to remove an entire room worth of paper within 3 hours. There's alot of water that comes out but its a steamer, what do you expect. Made the remodeling process go much faster compared to when we removed wall paper without the steamer, took us an entire day.

Great value for good tool!

So far so good!! This is a great value for this tool. One small and one large hand tool for the use. Works great. It takes about 5 minutes for it to steam up - but it works very well. Light weight easy to move around. The hose length is long enough to do the job.

Does the job

Tried the highly touted hot water/fabric softener routine with scoring and spent a couple nights removing maybe a 4 x 6 ft area via small pieces. Purchased the steamer and removed 4 times that much via large chunks in about one hour to include some hard to reach spaces. Worth every penny.
