Success requires another product!

I am choosing not to use this product...and will be returning it to Lowe's if I can find my receipt! No mention was made when I asked for the assistance of the department assistant that it required the purchase of a second product...to neutralize the stripper! The container also does not mention this on the front label. It is only mentioned at the end of the directions for use that this is a requirement...if you wish your stain or paint to adhere! Does not strip paint well

Despite following directions, this product did not do a good job stripping my deck. It took literally hours of scrubbing as hard as I could to get most of the paint off and even then not all would come off

followed instructions. waste of time and money. pressure washing did better work WITHOUT killing my grass. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Suspicion confirmed

Confirmed what we already knew about big box store chemicals. If wasting 2 hours and $30 is on your list, THIS is the product for you. It’s NOT “fast-acting”. You need MORE than a garden hose. The only thing legit is it DOES make the surface slippery until rinsed. Will not be using this product ever again. Can I have my money back?

Waste of Time & Money

I thought all the bad reviews had to be because people didn't follow the directions, but I was wrong! I followed the directions exactly and it looks almost the exact same as when I started. I used a hose on the jet setting since the instructions said you could do that, and the paint barely budged. Using this was a waste of time and money. Now I'm back to square one.

Worked well

First of all, I used a pump sprayer to apply it to the fence panels. I left it on for 15 minutes, then rinsed it off with my water hose....jet nozzle. It worked ok, but I wanted it to look better, so I used a 1500psi pressure washer and it did the job. I recommend that you use a pressure washer NO stronger than 1500, and keep the pressure washer moving. If your fence pickets are really old, stick with the water hose.

Gets the job done with so

The key I found is letting this stay on for thirty minutes. I lightly mist with a hose so it doesn’t dry in that time. Then you must use a pressure washer.

It really does work or at least for me.

I'm literally here because all the bad reviews about this product. Well after reading all the bad reviews, I tried it anyways and I'm here to say I'm extremely happy I did. Obviously everyone has there own experience but this product saved me DAYS in sanding to get my old water based stain off my deck. Do not buy this, it does not work.

I have an old deck with paint that is starting to peel just by looking at it. I didn't read the reviews but I figured this has to help. I put it on fairly thick and waited just over 15 minutes on a cold sunless deck (as directed). Sprayed it off with a pressure washer and basically nothing came off. It cleaned the crud off some of the more solid paint but didn't actually remove any paint. What a waste of time and money. I still have half the container, can I return this useless stuff?

Works better than the review

Product worked pretty good. Lots of bad reviews but most people had to do it NOT by the directions. Only bad directions were using water hose which would definitely not work. Pressure washer did the job well. Price was to high for one gallon. Not to mention it had sat on the shelf so long it was covered in dust.

It did nothing for my deck

I saw some negative reviews but others said it worked for them. I thought I'd try it since my deck has Valspar stain on it. I thought surely it would work to strip its brand of stain. I applied it pretty thick with a wide paint brush in just a 4x10 area. I waited 20 minutes thinking am extra 5 would help. The stripper was still wet! save money, buy a real thing

got this for a 10 year old painted deck, applied entire 1 gallon bottle liberally on less than 50 sq ft. of wooden deck, after waiting for 15 minute applied another coat and waited another 15 minutes. Barely 5% of the paint was removed and that too with a power washer. this was a total waste of time and money

Not effective for removing stain

We followed the directions specifically. The stain stripper took off very little of the old stain after multiple attempts. It is just basically good for removing money from your bank account and removing time from your life and your happiness. It is really good at removing those things. 😂

Works as advertised

Worked like it says. ALL the stain is gone and have moved on to the wood prep. Followed the instructions to the letter and opted not to use the pressure washer but the hose with a nozzle on it to rinse off. Great product and very pleased.

Horrible

HORRIBLE! This results of this product are beyond disappointing. We followed the directions, used a pressure washer, and little to no stain in our deck was removed. I recommend saving your money and time. DO NOT purchase this product.
