Works great!!

Stripped new stain and stain from 8yrs ago! Put Cabot Australian Gold stain down. It didn’t settle into wood and was tacky to the touch. Waited over a week to allow it to settle. It didn’t! I had to strip all my hard work. I was so fearful this wouldn’t work but it worked like MAGIC! I brushed on, waited 15mins, lightly sprayed water then scrubbed with the brush. Highly recommend.

Barely works

I followed the instructions. Applied it with a roller, waited 15 minutes, scrubbed it with a deck brush, and rinsed it off with a high pressure hose. A little bit of color washed out, but nothing like what is advertised. I had to power wash the entire deck still in order to restain in.

I purchased 2 gallons to remove Valspar stain on my deck that I applied 2 years ago. I followed the instructions and it didn't work. I applied it a second time to the same area and got the same result. I applied it a third time and nothing. I went back to Lowes to get a refund and they told me to call Valsparl. I called but there's no option for warranty or refunds. I am so disappointed at Lowes, honestly they shouldn't carry this product. Now I am out $40 and with a worst deck to fix!

Excellent product!

Ignore bad reviews! It works great. Needed to remove fresh stain (Cabot) as it didn’t adhere appropriately (sticky and thick). Brushed on (states you can use pump sprayer, seems to think to do that), waited 15 mins, lightly sprayed with water then used scrub brush (long handle). Remove fresh stain and 8 yr old stain back to the natural wood. IMPRESSED!!! Directions state you can spray off without scrubbing. If you scrub it works like a charm. So happy!

Didn't remove any stain from my deck. If I could take it back I would. Used over half the container.

Waste of money and time

I attempted to use this to remove deck stain. It failed miserably, barely removed dirt and stains. This product is poor and wasted a considerable amount of time. Switched to Citrus Strip, worked awesome. Steps and lower deck redone with Citrus Strip, top 5 boards with Valspar.

Please don't waste your money

I bought 2 gallons and used it on my old deck as per the instructions... it simply doesn't work. when I went to lowes to get a refund they asked me to call the 1800 number on the label. when called there is no option for warranty or talk to a person. $40 and 2 days of effort wasted for nothing

May remove on indoor furniture

This product do not on remove outside deck paint. Very disappointed.

Horrible product

I couldn’t give ZERO stars. Used this on my fence to remove the sealant so I could stain it a new color. Used a sprayer like suggested and also a pressure washer. NOT ONE CHANGE IN THE FENCE. Water still beads up on the wood and the color is exactly the same. Horrible product.

It’s not exactly cheap and takes patience!

Best I have found, but I still have to apply 4 to 5 applications to remove Behr stain/sealer on my deck, rail & balusters after pressure washing & drying between applications.
