What Customers Are Saying
The doorbell transformer offers multiple voltage options (8V, 16V, 24V) that provide flexibility to work with different doorbell systems. Many customers report the product was easy to install and worked well with their new video doorbells. However, some users experienced issues like overheating, buzzing noises, and premature failure. A few also noted the mounting method could be improved, and a small number found the transformer did not provide the correct voltage output for their needs.

Would Not RecommendProduces too high a voltage. I got a reading of 20.4V across the 16V terminals. Also, even with it just connected to the AC input with nothing yet connected to the load side, it produces a noticeable buzz and gets very hot to the touch. After hooking up my Nest doorbell it was getting even hotter.
Voltage very inaccurate
Would Not RecommendHooked this up for a doorbell camera. The voltage coming out of it is a bit spicy. 8v was actually 10v. 16v was actually 20v. 24v was 29v. I would not use this with electronics that need a specific voltage without confirming.
Doorbell transformer
Would Not RecommendI think this is defective. It hums quite loudly. ALL THE TIME
Good transformer
Would RecommendWorks fine, good instructions, supports the lower and higher voltage ringers. Great customer service over the phone. I returned it because the older original was not the problem (my door bell just dinged and didn't ding dong). It was far easier and less expensive to remove the transformer and mechanical ringer, cap the electric, and install a wireless doorbell.
Doesn't work with video doorbells
Would Not RecommendRing doorbells require a minimum 16VAC-30VA output
Hello,
Model number SL-130 or HB-130 are 16VAC-30VA output made for the video doorbells.
It works
Would RecommendI like that it worked as replacement for a burned out transformer.
Returned unopened
Turns out my doorbell transformer was the correct voltage, so I didn’t have to replace it to use my new doorbell chime.

Works as needed but buzzes like crazy.
Would RecommendBought this for a new video doorbell (Arlo). It was easy to install and works exactly as expected. However the case vibrates like crazy and sends a loud buzz through the wood frame of the house which is quite audible. I ended up leaving the transformer dangling from the mains wires (not ideal) which isolated the vibration. I tried putting foam between the mounting frame and the studs but the vibrations were transmitted through the mounting screws. I may try with rubber gaskets or I may just...
