What Customers Are Saying
The doorbell transformer offers multiple voltage options (8V, 16V, 24V) that provide flexibility to work with different doorbell systems. Many customers report the product was easy to install and worked well with their new video doorbells. However, some users experienced issues like overheating, buzzing noises, and premature failure. A few also noted the mounting method could be improved, and a small number found the transformer did not provide the correct voltage output for their needs.

When I replaced my old 10VAC transformer (probably from the 1970s) and hooked this one up, it would hum loud enough to hear through the wall. Testing with my multimeter showed that regardless of the configuration, the transformer was reading about 5 volts higher than it should have. I checked the transformer again shortly after installing it and the voltage was up in the high 50s. . . So I pulled it out - tried rewiring it, checking all my connections, still violent humming. Voltages were still ...
