PACKAGING IS MISLEADING (COLOR/WATER MIX RATIO)

I AM AN AVERAGE DIY'ER WITH A FAIR AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE WITH TILE AND GROUT. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME USING THIS PRODUCT AND I MUST SAY I AM KINDA DISAPOINTED IN THE WAY THIS PRODUCT IS PRESENTED ON THE PACKAGING. THE BAG STATES THAT THIS PRODUCT IS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. I MUST SAY IT WAS ANYTHING BUT. 1ST - THE RECOMMENDED WATER MIXTURE IS WAY OFF. PRODUCT MIXES KIND OF DRY & CLUMPY. YOU DEFINATELY WILL NEED TO ADD MORE WATER. Worked good and nice color

This grout has a nice color and went on easy. My only problem was mixing it to thick as first. Once I got it to the right consistency I had to add a small amount of water every 5-10 minutes to keep it from thickening up. Cleaned up easy and looks great!

"Not for the DIY'er" ha ha ha

I really have to say most tile work isn't for the do it yourself homeowner, not knowing how much to mix at one time: " I mixed the whole 10# bag and it started to harden before I could apply it". You need skill, technique and common sense to complete any remodel project especially something as unforgiving as tile work. Just because you didn't use the product properly doesn't mean the product is no good, and watching a few U-tube videos doesn't make you a pro... That is all.

be careful when using

looks beautiful after it dries, but as soon as your done grouting be careful to see if it's on your shoes it will stain, especially carpet.

Grout color was much too light!

I used the Silverado grout on about 200 sq ft. I was looking for a grey grout to match the tile I purchased at Lowes. In fact this color was recommended on the Lowes display for my tile. The Silverado turned out to be almost white and I was very disappointed! I had to redo the grout lines with a dark grey grout sealer. What a hassle.

Newbie at tiling/grout

Looks great after a lot of hard work.

I followed the mixing instructions to the letter and found that this grout is difficult to install. It was a gummy mess. I had to scrub and scrap it off of a lot of my tiles because I am not the fasted worker. If you use this power grout only mix 10 pounds at a time if you are not a professional tile installer. Quick, clean and sealed

This grout looks great next to my white pecan tile floor. It's self sealing and looks clean always. Definitely worth the extra money.

Great Product

People that complain about this are amateurs. It clearly says on the front of the bag "Fast setting." This is better so as a professional I don't have to sit around for 45-60 minutes for it to set up to start cleaning it up. It also works for joints 1/16 to 1/2 inch so there is no need for sanded for large joints and un-sanded for small joints, this does it all. It is also stain resistant so there is no need to seal it twice a year.

I love this grout

Before you had to decide which grout to purchase based on the size of the grout joints, this grout covers both the sanded (1/8" or wider grout joints) and the unsanded (1/8" or smaller grout joints) with ease. Plus it is self sealing so you don't have to add a sealer to it afterwards. It's a little different to work with than traditional grout but I find much easier in clean up. Easy to use, easy to mix, easy to work with, drys quickly, finished product looks great.

Too hard to use 20 minutes after mixing

Although I have installed a lot of tile in the past, this was my first time using this product. I followed directions on package, carefully measuring 26 oz. of water for the 10 pound bag. The mix seemed thick, but I tried it. It was too hard to use after only 20 minutes. More than half of the bag was useless.

Go with the premixed!

Great stuff. So much better than buying the base mix, the color(s) and the grout boost liquid separately. Nothing to go wrong. Use as much or as little as you like. Great stain resistance by itself but I would seal it too just 'cause you can.

Not for DIY - Sets too fast

I purchased this product with help from Lowes associates for a bathroom tiling project. I saw that it said fast setting, but I think IMMEDIATE is more accurate. You are fool if you mix all 10lbs of this up at one time! I watched the installation video before I started. I followed the instructions exactly and nothing worked as shown. Great product

The 10-lb Ivory Sanded/Unsanded Powder Grout was a challenge. As a first time user of the product I found that my normal work habits did not work with this product. The product mixed well and applied we, but it hardened to fast and was not easily corrected. In fact I had to remove sections and re-do the job. It looks good but I would not recommend it for the novice.

Consistent color, easy to use

I selected this grout to use in my master bath remodeling project. It was used with Capri Classic tile on the walls and floor, and Cornsilk Mosaic tiles on the shower walls. The color was consistent and the product was easy to use. This color blends nicely with my tile choices. I haven't used the shower yet, so I can't comment on this factor.

Definitely a sanded grout

Decent product to use. Seems to be easier to handle when mixed a little wetter. Color is exactly as shown on packaging. Covered grout lines great from 1/8" to 3/8" on shower floor to bathroom floor.

Perfect for our ceramic tile.

We purchased Serso Black Walnut ceramic tile. The color was a great compliment to our tile.
