Use a small batch

Power Grout was easy to use for a beginner. However, it dries very quickly. Consider making small batches to allow yourself enough work time before it gets too dry (1/3 of the bag by weight?-depending on your skill level).

True to color.

I'm not sure why the description says sanded/unsanded because it is definitely sanded. I was slightly concerned when the grout was wet because it looked black but now that it is dry it looks very similar to the color swatch on the bag. It was easy to mix, easy to apply and easy to clean off of the tiles after the recommended dry time. I used this in my bathroom and of course I intend to put trim along the walls and tub but if you don't want a bit of a mess on the surrounding areas, I would recom...

Very light color and short work time

I followed the directions exactly and the working time was only about 10 min. before the product was so setup that i had to add water. The grout was almost white when mixed and dried even lighter. I have mixed different brands of grout in the past and have never had any issues. This product is of very poor quality.

WORST GROUT EVER!

The old brand was great (and I had some left over of several colors). They switched to this new brand and its terrible to work with. Plus, what does "sanded/unsanded" mean??? It's one or the other Lowe's. I now have to go to the competition to get grout. The mortar is terrible too.

what to fill your cracks with

all in all this was an easy to use product. they need to figure out an easier way to do the clean up and a consistency guage of some kind

had about 12 stones loose on fireplace for repair. ,had to find exact color match. The lady helped me with color match and it came out perfect. Appreciate her advice.

Hardened up too fast

Followed directions on bag for mixing to the T. Less than half an hour later it was getting hard and needed to add more water in order to use. By the end of the small job, 17 sq ft, I had to use my hands to get the grout out of bucket and onto the wall. Needless to say the job got finished but not at the quality I expected. I would not use this product again.

Awful

water mixture was off. product dried out before I could use based on wait time in directions. was a absolute mess!

very difficult to use

I am in California. It is warm to say the least this time of year. Because of the accelerator, I feel, this grout sets up way too fast. After calling Butler for assistance I mixed with cold water and even used an ice bucket but it sets up so fast I had to mix in very small amounts and even then the application and cleanup took 5 times longer than other products I've used. Watch out, the mix out of the bag even after mixing gives chunks of dyes. I chose power grout so I didn't have to mix coloran...

Went down beautifully. No need to seal. Color is perfect with my tile. I had a contractor installing.

First-timers BEWARE

This may be a fine grout product, but it is very thick, hard to work with, and sets up quickly. If this is your first time grouting do not use this product. Way more hassle than it is worth. Will never buy/use again. I'm surprised it was recommended by the store associate.

Bad Experience

The grout dried too quickly. We had to continue to add water. Very difficult to work with. Would defitely not recommend for first timers. Color too light.

Not a good product

This grout dries too quickly and is very difficult to work with ,requiring more tile cleaning time while applying and taking 2 or 3x as much grout than coverage indicated on the bag. Previous product line was much better

Use another product

Used this grout for basement bathroom gray tile floor....Contractor followed instructions and even watched product video. Grout came out WHITE....not Gray or Silverado as named, WHITE.

easy for ladies

I just grouted my kitchen. This product was easy to handle. It was simple to mix and simple to apply. I would recommend for even the guys.

Overpriced grout !

Worst grout I've ever used. Lowe's had a great grout for years (Mapei ?) and switched to this over priced product.
