My trigger broke like many others, only mine did last almost one year. I went to the store yesterday and purchased another Steamboost since I use it so often. If the trigger is such an issue, I don't quite understand why the company is not working on a redesign. And then again.....maybe they are. I just don't want this to be a yearly purchase.

Ubiquitous Trigger Failure
Also experienced the dreaded trigger breakage. Poor design. Steam mop works well when it works but trigger failure seems to be rampant. Bissell would do well to make at least this part available to replace, as it is not that difficult to get into where it is located. Ideally, this trigger should be redesigned and the new part available for purchase. Cannot recommend this product due to the rampant trigger failure.

Trigger Broke
Have only used this a few times and already the trigger broke so it won't steam. I have looked online for a replacement trigger but it looks as though I'm going to have purchase a whole new unit. Frustrating!

Broke after only three months
Would Not RecommendI am a big fan of all Swifter products but I will say that I am very disappointed in the steamer. I loved it at the beginning but the switch in the handle broke after only three months now it won't steam. Not worth the money

Love it - but the trigger broke
I absolutely love this steam mop! So much so, that after the trigger broke on the first one I bought a second one. And that trigger broke, too. This is absolutely the right tool for the job, especially with little ones in the house. But the quality of the handle is pretty cheap. However, I did get a really helpful response from Customer Service when I called just now. I will give the Bissel Swiffer one last try, then I'll go back to trying to resurrect my old Shark that clogs on tap water.

Why no replacement parts available????
Would Not RecommendI loved it at first even though holding the trigger while mopping was hard on my hand. Then the trigger on the handle broke. The rest of the mop still works, but the trigger doesn't; so no steam, and hence a worthless mop. The manufacturer's website does not list replacement parts, so it is not fixable. Now I have to throw away a $50 mop because they won't sell a $1 replacement part? Ridiculous!

I enjoyed this product but...
The performance of this product was great but I am disappointed that the steam pads only come with fragrances added to them. Sadly, I'm going to return this and hope for a scent free steam pad option in the near future.

Really Disappointed
I purchased this over 18 months ago. I've only used it 5 times. Sometimes it steams. Sometimes it doesn't. Always leaves streaks. If I want my floor to look good I have to go back and mop it with a regular mop. I'm so disappointed in this since I needed something lightweight and easy to use. I won't be buying Bissell again when I replace it.

Would Not RecommendThis item worked fabulous the first two times but won't even try to steam now. I have kept this item in a dry cool environment, plug it in an hour before use and only use distilled water, there is no reason this item shouldn't work. Save your money and buy another product. I wouldnt have even selected one star but unfortunately it won't let me post unless I rate at least a one star.

This was the biggest waste of money!!
Would Not RecommendI have had this product for less than a week and the trigger broke. Not only that byt when you try to use it, the pad slides out of the pockets and tears up. Thats probably why when I bought my first refill pack that they were on clearance. Do not waste your money.

needs stronger parts
Loved this mop and it was perfect for our needs until parts broke on it. It did what I needed but it didn't take long before it broke and now is unusable. For the amount I paid and with the brand name I thought it would hold up better. It wasn't cheap and can't keep buying new ones. Sad it isn't made with better quality.

Loved it when it worked
Unfortunate it was short lived. I replaced my "Hoover Floormate" with the steam boost for my tile floors and to quick dust wood floors. easy to handle, I can handle myself (I'm disabled) not 90 days into my love affair the trigger went. I'm annoyed as I really needed to clean the kitchen floor after holiday cooking.

Too Fragile
I love using the product, but unfortunately after a few uses the top knob broke and its no longer producing steam. Don't know if I would buy it again. I can't use it under the beds and sofas because of its fragility. When I first bought it I was really looking forward to use it and it cleaned perfectly the house felt fresh and smells really good. I didn't have to use many chemicals and this was a plus. But now I'm just disappointed.

Broken trigger; not worth the price
Applied approximately 30 uses out of of this and then the trigger broke. I carefully disassembled the hardware covering of the handle to expose the mechanics inside and noticed the that the pieces are very simple and what appears to be cheap plastic. This is NOT worth the price and not a tool that you'll have around the house for very long. Quite disappointed in the quality of this device.
