Heavy duty, works well

I wanted a heavy duty log splitter without noisy motors or gas engines, and this fits my needs exactly. This is a robust, no-nonsense tool that does the job.

Fills my needs

This will spend the winter in my wood shed where it will give my the option of burning smaller pieces of wood. It works great with little effort.

Solid reliable

We burn about 5 cords a season. Most of the time I use a 5 ton electric splitter, but there are times when the rounds are too tough for the splitter or too heavy for me to lift up. Then I turn to the Sun Joe. It's slower but almost always can power through. I lent my Sun Joe to an old-timer who was splitting all his wood with a maul. He was so pleased that he saved $ from his SS check and bought his own.

Maanual log splitter

For the home owner that likes to cut and split their own fire logs, this tool is wonderful. Replaces using a splitting wedge and 3 pound hammer or swinging an axe. It does take a certain amount of upper body strength, and is a cardio workout for sure, but it is easy to use. 18 inch log length does required ensuring logs are not cut longer, which is sometimes an issue. And wood that is doesn't split cleanly, ie has "stringy" sections still requires some hand splitting, but I do recommend this...

Does the job but..

The splitter works as advertised. I have split different size logs with no problem. My problem is with the quality of manufacture. When I received the splitter it had a piece of rubber along the bottom to allow it to be placed on concrete and not slide around. The strip on mine was installed so crooked that it over hanged the base. It did not stop the operation of the splitter but was extremely unsightly so I ripped it off. Now I have to put a mat under the splitter.

Works incredibly well!

This thing looks like a toy. It isn't it's we'll built and has filled up my basement with firewood for the whole winter in less time than it took me to carry it last year!

Exceeded my expectations

Easy to use. I’m 67. Gives me a little exercise and safer than my axe.

A very nice log splitter

This log splitter is very simple to use. I’ve only had it for a few weeks now and have split about a half cord with it. It rolls easily on black top but for me, not on to well off of it. Maybe an attachment for bigger wheels for moving it on the ground better. But I like a lot!

At 70 years old------You have to have it

Product works just as they say. Since getting older I couldn't split wood as before. Now I'm splitting pieces I used to give up on and throw away. Must have as far as I'm concerned. Thumbs up!

WORK HORSE!

VERY WELL DESIGNED UNIT ! VERY POWERFUL AND HANDY LOG SPLITTER! ONLY PROBLEM WAS PLUG ON CYLINDER AS OPPOSED TO PLUG ON RESERVOIR! ALSO NEED SPACER FOR SMALLER LOGS AND A LOCATION FOR HANDLES TO STORE ON UNIT.... NOW TIED WITh A BUNGGY CORD ON STANDING UNIT!

Splits wood easily and adds to my exercise program

I order 8 cords of split wood every winter - but many of the logs delivered and still too big for our wood stove insert. Since I purchased this product, I can easily reduce the larger pieces down to manageable sizes. Its super easy to use and I like to think I am also adding some arm exercises to my workout regimen. Great product!

this thing works

We are amazed at how well this splitter works. We had a lot of large Pecan logs that are vey difficult to split with a maul. So I decided to give this splitter a try. We've been splitting lots of logs. Yesterday we allowed (with supervision) some kids to give it a try. They could split some logs that would have been impossible with the maul. Highly recommended.
