This Steel Hose box has been the perfect addition to our yard. It does its job at keeping our hose organized and looks nice. It was easy to set up. The hose reels in and out smoothly.

Good quality

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review]. This hose reel is sturdy and looks really nice in the yard. I like that it’s made of steel and feels durable. Pulling the hose out is smooth, but reeling it back in can be a bit hard, especially when the hose is fully extended.

Attractive and Practical

This was easy to put together and it’s a lot more attractive than most hide reels.

Solid construction

Feels sturdy, I like the rubber handle grip. This is the 2nd purchased from the same brand, and the other has held up outside in TX for 3 years so far.

Excellent Functionality, Beautiful Esthetics

I disagree with "Terrible Functionality"! I bought (2) Boxes for my home in NC--worked perfectly over 2.5 years and looked amazing (neat)! Have returned to MI and am about to purchase (2) New Boxes. These are the best in the field, I have searched for years for a Box this Good! Hint: Make sure the Box is leveled and securely fasten with concrete screws to concrete base (patio) or Concrete Patio block if positioned out on dirt bed or lawn.

Terrible functionality

While this looks nice, it works terribly. It does ok at reeling a hose into the box but is absolutely awful at getting the hose back out. Pulling the hose just tightens the reel inside the box, and using the turn lever does nothing, so it's like wrestling an alligator just to get your hose back out of the box.

Great Hose Reel at a Great Price

This hose reel is a quality item, all metal including the hose fittings, unlike many of the others on the market. Well worth the money.

Lightweight, seems sturdy

It's pretty compact and sturdy, but it does NOT hold 100ft of hose as advertised. It's also annoying that all the reel mechanism is plastic instead of metal (but I haven't found one with a metal mechanism).
