Lock breaks

I have been a fat max user for year and was excited when they came out with the new one. I went through 3 in less than a month so i went back to the old style. Love the feel and they have great extension but the lock broke on two of them and the tape tore and a 1-1/2” on two of them. Definitely a design flaw.

TUFF

CLOSE TO PERFECTION

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used it to build a 400 sq. ft. 2 story shed. It made the work much easier. I wore the clutch out on the first one, so that the tape would creep back in while extended. The warranty dept. sent me a new one instantly... meanwhile I figured out to wipe the entire blade with a clean rag to remove some residue that was making the tape too slippery for the clutch to hold it out... from there on it worked well enough to finish the job. Solid Tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a while ago when they first introduced the smaller FATMAX. I love the smaller, more round design. It drops easily into my belt, I don’t have to fumble around trying to put my tape up. Be careful !!!! On a long run this tape zips in, it will get those fingers if your not careful. I learned the hard way. Thanks

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace many very much older tape measures, that didn't furl back in correctly ... should have done it years ago ... much easier to use, faster recoil, all in all, great to update your tape measure.

The industry standard tape measure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a Union Steamfitter/pipe welder I've been using the Fat Max since it's very inception. It has the longest stand-out of any other tape measure I've used and lasts a lot longer as well. This is the very tape measure by which all others are judged. They simply don't measure up to the Fat Max. Worth every penny!

Fat max 25ft tape measure

Great standout

The good, bad and ugly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received my Fatmax as a test tool. Love the wider stiffer blade BUT I couldn’t get the blade to lock securely! Kept slipping loose at inopportune times. Also found that it didn’t easily fit inside the tape holster on my tool belt and that the larger case is a bit difficult for my small arthritic hands to grasp firmly enough not to drop frequently. I still use it in my shop but I don’t take it to jobsites.

Great product!!

I do a lot of construction work and it doesn't seem to wear out so I might never have to use the replacement for it. Lol. Great tape to get someone as a gift.

Best tape measure around!

Great Fit, Quality Made
