Short on tension

Tape was ok for a little while but when fully extended the lockdown button does not hold enough tension on the tape to keep it extended, it just keeps slipping.

The Only Tape Measure You'll Ever Want

I bought my Husband a Fat Max Tape Measure when searching for a replacement for his old one. I noticed the Fat Max and after looking at it I knew it was perfect for the job! The measurements are easy to read and the tape stays in place when locked. He now has two...one for the work shop and one for the house so there is always one within his c reach! His old ones are history! We bought our Son two for his carpentry bysiness and he is sold too! Great job, Stanley! Only tools we own!

25' Stanley Fatmax

Fits good in my hand , very handy to use. Heavy duty all the way. I don't think I'll ever wear it out. I've used it to set toe-in on cars without any problems and I've used to build things.

Great tape measure

This tape measure is one of the best I ever had it lasted me a long time. I’m a wood framer I do construction in bad weather it has lasted me 6 months it’s expected. This is the tape measure I count on I keep buying it. Worth every penny.

Best tape measure

Greatest tape measure to use when you need your hands free to work. Lines are clear and easy to read. Sturdy so if you accidentally drop it does break

The only tape measure I use

Thus is my favorite tape measure I have been using this tape for 20 plus years easy to read and fits well in your hand and has great standout.

Been using for years

This STANLEY 25 ft STANLEY FATMAX Tape Measure is the only tape measure I use. I have been using it on the job or for personal use for many years. On the job it gets used hard! Measuring big or small jobs and spaces from floors to ceiling it’s always in my tool belt. Easy to use flexible but strong,and easy to readit is a strong durable tape measure

Lock fails, tape rolls over sideways

This tape feels great in your hand, as others have said the blade rolls over sideways when extended, the bottom is rounded instead of flat and worst of all, the thumb lock fails to hold the blade. Basically a useless tape measure, big design failure, not worth the money.

Good till dropped

This tape has been my favorite tape until I dropped it off of my work table at just above waist height. After that maybe 3' drop the tape would not retract at all and was useless

Fat max

Thin blade and no hook to keep blade on log. When measuring log, end pulls off log. Worthless since I get tired of having to put the hook back on the log. Finally, did what it’s worth, broke it in pieces.

Great for all your measuring needs tools that lives up to its name

25" tape is great

great value and great quality. I use it every day at my job and I use one at home as well.

VERY Durable.

Awesome tape measure for the price. I have dropped it several times, once out of a 2 story window, and it just bounced. Worked perfectly afterwards, didn't break the inner mechanisms. Very impressed!

Tough as nails

A classic and great for its purpose....The onlt suggestion I would make is to introduce the exact same model with a magnetic hook.
