Works great and Durable

Picked this up and glad I did! It is very durable and works well. It holds up to 25 feet and does not bend like other tap measures. It is made of metal but the outer casings is made of plastic. I have dropped it and it has not broken. It is a durable tape measure!

They are well built but...

I have two FatMaxs they are well built however they are designed, as most tape measures are, for left-handers. If you could use your left hand to pay out the tape and the numerals were right-side up it would make for less mistakes in marking measuring dimensions. I have been harassing Stanley to make a few right handed tapes. They make good products.

Fat Max tapes are far superior than any other on the market.

No Twisting & Turning

The struggle is over! For years I've had to twist, turn and fight to keep the tape straight because it would bend and twist, especially at full extensions. Either my husband or I would often have to get to the other end of the tape to keep it straight. It was a total pain. This FatMax is so much better in terms of that, I don't know if it is the greater width of the tape or what it is fabricated from, but it maintains straightness much better.

Fhat Max

I was just visiting my lical Lowes for my shed project and came across these Stanley Fat Max tape measures. I first noticed the yellow price tag of $6.00 so I picked one up and it had a 8 foot standoff so at that price I grabbed the last 2, what a sweet deal.

Great product

Easy to read numbers

Won't buy any other tape measure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the fatmax for the last 5 years and won't ever buy another tape again. I have a 25ft and a 16ft that I couldn't live without. The strength in the standout of the tape is unlike any other. I'm a Sprinklerfitter so the standout of the tape is so important measuring pipe.

Favorite measuring tape

Great tape measure

Tape Measure

I like using it because it's comfortable in my hand and I'm not afraid that the tape measure will slide in real fast and cut my hand. I can't say this about other tape measures.
