Quick hole cutter

These are a must have if you need to cut larger holes in materials. I have used them on sheet rock, wood, fiberboard, concrete board and aluminum up to 3/16 thick and they cut right through with ease. This is a 3 piece assembly where some others are just 2 pieces. But overall the assembly is quick amd easy. So far I am impressed and love these bits for cutting holes.

Innovative with one drawback

This is a very innovative set with one drawback I'll get to in my review. First off, the case is very nice. It stores all the hole cutters, collets and two drills nicely. The larger hole cutters use the larger collet and bit. NOTE: The larger bit has a larger shank. Your drill must be able to accept a 10mm shank! Quality hole saws!

I’ve been using some cheap hole saws I bought probably thirty years ago. Granted, I don’t often need a hole saw but when I do, I’ve been digging out my old cheap things. What a difference quality makes! These saws have carbide tips, quick release arbors that attach to seriously tough bits. These definitely won’t be slipping. Time saving set

These hole saws are the best I have seen. They are the easiest to remove the plug from the bit. It is best use low speed while cutting holes. Overall an excellent design. High quality hole saws and should last a lifetime.

First, I've used hole saws just about my entire life. I've used cheap ones that typically are good as "one use only" and I've used expensive one's that are good...but expensive! Great new Idea for an old tool

What a clever idea for an old tool. They've made it easier to get the plug out, AND to remove the hole saw from the carrier. They are incredibly fast cutting too.

Solves My Biggest Issue!

This set is definitely several steps above the typical hole saws I have in my shop. It directly and effectively addresses my biggest issue - easy removal of the core after drilling. The push button release of the Hex starter drill spindle allows me to just slip off the core and get right back to cutting the next hole. No wedging screw drivers or pry bars thru slots in the cutter to “walk” the core off of the drill. Or worse, having to disassemble the arbor and saw to get the core off! Thi...

Heavy duty

I received this kit. The hole saws look very heavy and are larger than usual. However the pilot bits they use are special and can see them being a drawback. The quick release is great but once the bit is dull the game is over until you get another of these bits. My kit was supposed to have 2 differant sized bits but it didn't come with the larger bit. Just missing from the kit.

Greatest Ever

Once these came I was totally amazed at how they preformed. Removing the wood plug was never so easy as it was with this set. Absolutely Love these!!!

Works as expected

Definitely need to read directions on operating this hole saw kit. Once one understands how it works, the installation and use is fairly easy. I do like the ejection system. Can be used on various materials which is nice. Not so sure where Spyder gets the advertised claim of 50x more cuts and 10x faster than standard hole saws. That seems pretty objective to me. Overall... this kit works well for what it is. NIce to have something that can cut through imbedded nails and such.

When it comes to hole saws - this is the way to go

This is a solid hole saw that makes clean cuts - and ejects material easily. The core ejection is clever - you can use the holes on the side, OR, you disconnect it from the arbor, and slide it down, that just automatically ejects the core! When you are doing multiple holes - this is a god send. Everything seems well made and high quality. This will be in my tool set for years to come. Carrying case is very nice.

Pilot Bit Slides Right Out To Clear!

It comes in a nice carrying case, containing five hole saws and two pilot-drill and arbor setups. I found their claim-to-fame feature to be the real deal: after you have drilled a hole and the core is up inside the hole saw blade, you just push the little spider button and the pilot bit slides right out making the task of clearing the hole saw for the next hole a snap. Durable with Rapid Core Eject.

I've used another brand of hole saws, they were good, but not great. I've been pleased with Spyder blades on a saw I have. The carbide tips are supposed to provided greater longevity than the standard blades. I was doing cable management on my Wife's desk. Great Carbide tip hole saw

The Spyder Carbide tipped hole saw kit is great for tile, plastics and metals. It quickly went through some ceramic tile that I was drilling holes in. I did try to use it in wood but would not recommend to use for that as it did not cut well in wood. It was like a dull saw and was heating up.

Very Impressive

First off, I'm very impressed with the quality of the set. The saws are high grade and should be very durable. I like the quick change feature for the bits but it didn't seem to help much getting the plugs out. I have not used the saws on an actual project but tested them in 1/4" thick aluminum and 7/32" Lexon. The resulting cuts were clean and smooth. Even in the Lexon, there was no overheating/melting. My new favorite hole saws!

I have used several brands of hole saws through the years and some of them have been great and lasted a long time. The biggest issue I have always had is the arbors. The nuts would often back off and cause the bit to spin down tight to the arbor so you then have to use a vice and pipe wrench to break them loose. Not very handy when out in the field. Carbide hole saw set with great features

This set is well built (to my estimation) with carbide teeth that get the job done. I have used spyder carbide hole saws only one other time to get through 3/4” of cast iron with bits of brick and mortar all around it. It did the job and only lost a few teeth in the process. A Good Quality Product

The product is well built and the teeth make easy work through wood to cut out the lock hole. Easy to assemble and then use. Disassembly and cleaning the product works very well also.

Not very effective

I tried this hole saw set on both a 3:4” of pine and a plastic coffee container. The first attempt with the wood left the saw just spinning after cutting half the depth. The second attempt I pushed pretty hard to force it through. On the plastic it dug in hard and spun it right out of my hand.
