The Spyder-Tarantula 9-piece Carbide-tipped Arbored Adjustable Hole Saw Kit is an extemely handy set to have. The carbide tipped hole saws will definitely last longer and cut cleanly. Set includes all the popular sizes and was very easy to assemble and attach to my drill. Quick change couplers are convenient.

Clean cut

I am glad I got this tarantula kit. Perfect timing that my sister in law needed help making holes for her diy project. 5 different sizes of holes to chose from and easy to attach. Holes drill ice and clean. I may buy her a set for her future projects.

Great product..

I haven't used this item for everything I need to just yet. I'm in the middle of a remodel of our master bathroom. So far I have used it to drill holes for plumbing in subfloor and backer board without any issues. It comes in a nice case to keep parts in order. Five different sizes to meet many needs along with two different arbors. Side slots in each hole saw make it easy to remove waste. It is easy to assemble and very sturdy and durable. I'm sure it will last years for me.

Cuts metal well

I have been a big fan of the quick clean that tarantula has for several years, and this kit fosent disappoint. Its very easy to change between different sizes as well as remover the core you just cut. My only complaint is when drilling wood the bits donr clean well so have ro pull out often to allow the dust to be removed. Other than that very impressed and happy.

Nice, rugged hole saw!

I make quite a few bird house each year have always hated the cheap 20 year old hole saw I've used. Wow! What a difference this Spyder kit makes. It's tough and really plows through wood quickly and smoothly. I can't say how it performs in metal, as I have no need to use it for that. The case is a nice touch with one exception - there's no space to allow you to store one or two additional size bits. If you're someone who needs a hole saw on a regular basis, this kit's a winner!

Very Effective

This thing will tear through some material. The bits have no problem getting through the boards I was working with. Haven't had the chance to really test the carbide tips, but based on the excellent performance so far I am not concerned for when that time comes. Great hole saw kit.

Really cool Package

Great package, very easy to put together and use. The pieces fit together very easily and are also very easy to take apart and you can see how they fit together in pictures 3 and 4. The actual cutting piece has very large, deep points to it for cutting through just about anything and it also has large openings on the side so you can remove the cut pieces of wood (metal, etc.) easily (much, much easier than most other products).

Nice assortment

We used this to drill a hole for a bird house that were building with our 5 year old granddaughter. It was very easy to attach to our drill, the drilling was smooth just would of liked a better grip or bite into the wood while drilling. Easy to use, pretty convenient features

Above all, this kit contains a good assortment of sizes, and easy-to-use components. However, I did not find that plugs from wood around 3/4" thick were any easier to remove or eject following the method outlined on the package. I tried the same method using a stainless steel sheetmetal material (~1mm thick?) and was not able to cut fully through before I noticed that some of the teeth caught and bent outwards. Hole saws look good, are easy to mount on drill and are sharp. I have trouble putting things together and this was easy to put together without directions.

This Spyer hole saw kit is made of great quality. Blades are sharp, carbine-tipped and the hole saws lock in securely on the drill. Mounting on/off a drill are a snap. The case this kit comes in is strong, durable plastic, with easy-open latches.

Nice Product

Needed two holes in my entertainment system to run sound bar wiring through. Decided to try this product and it did the job. Easy to use and to the job in seconds. The only drawback is the cost for the saw set. If I was younger and not on financial stability I would’ve gotten a cheaper set.

This 9-piece kit is amazing! I would recommend for everyone to observe the included size tipped blades in this kit - SPYDER makes similar kits with different sizes. Regardless of kit this manufacture makes incredible quality and I lover their products. Easy Release

Set is well made and sturdy. Cut through wood easily, but I would be hesitant to use this for metal. The quick release feature of the bit is nice, and it makes removing the material left inside of the circular bit easy. The set includes an info sheet that has RPM settings on it for various material sizes.

Great performance except for core eject system

I found the Tarantula 9-Piece Set Carbide tipped Hole Saw Kit to be an excellent option for making a variety of holes in numerous materials although the Rapid Core Eject System was not much of an improvement. I selected the 1 1/8" size for both the Tarantula brand and my current hole saw I use which is Lenox. I made identical holes in the same board. Powerful and convenient

These are designed to perform the best on hard metal surfaces such as steel/stainless steel as the carbide tip is made for such surfaces. They will certain cut through softer material such as aluminum or wood but the bit will wobble a bit on its own. Pretty cool design, several problems.

First impression, high quality and this set looks cool! I have a few other brands that are kind of a pain to assemble, center, and keep tight while in use. This set requires no tools to assemble, with the press of a button on the arbor the drill bit slides in and locks in place (keeping it centered).
