What Customers Are Saying
The Speedout Micro extractor is generally effective at removing stripped smaller screws. The set includes four bit sizes to handle a range of screw diameters. Some users noted the bits can be fragile, especially the smaller ones, and the extraction process may require patience and care. Overall, the extractor is considered a useful tool for dealing with stripped screws, though it may not work in every situation.

Would RecommendSet up a 2 x 4 with hardware screwed in to test this product. I then rounded out the screw of the head. Followed the instructions on the Speed out screw remover. The screw remover worked as expected, screw came out with ease.
Well made held up great
Would RecommendI never thought I would need different sizes but these worked extremely well. Do yourself a favor pick up the set they come in multiple sizes you'll definitely need them.
Great addition to my toolbox
Would RecommendI've stripped out tons of soft computer screws over the years, and finally having an extractor that fits them an awesome milestone. I do wish the case had a label on it and guessing the size extractor takes an extra minute as I had to change back and forth to find the best bit as drilling it out and then extracting the screw is not always just about flipping the bit over, but trying them out to see what grips best.
Worked well.
Would RecommendThere are four screw extractors with two different sides. They remove the screws that are broken or stripped. Once you pick the correct bit, the process goes pretty smoothly. They are durable and sturdy for the job at hand.
Great for size # 4, 6, and 8
Would RecommendBased on the P\package screw diameters listed, this is for wood screws # 3, 4, 6, and 8. To test this product, I put 3 of each screw in oak and drilled out the Philips heads. This was a challenge for the #3 screws as they seemed to be hardened.and some of the heads snapped off. The extractors have 2 sides. The first is a drill designed to be run counter clockwise with an extractor on the other end which also is used counter clockwise. The smallest size, "Micro #4, was able to drill into the fir...
Stripped screws are easy with this extractor
Would RecommendEasily attachable to the drills we have and easy to use. It does take a little more effort to apply pressure to get the stripped screw out but works well!
Micro-Magic
Would RecommendThis review is for the Speed Out brand of extractors. Specifically, the micro screw extractors in size 4,5,6 & 7. The screw extractors are made of steel and are two sided. One side is meant to pre-drill the screw head and the other side has the extraction tool. The drill portion of the tool is ok but not nearly as effective as a new drill bit. Each side is used in reverse drill operation and works best when used at slow speeds. I found that higher speeds tend to ruin in knurled end and lose grip...
No problem
Would RecommendGot this to remove smaller screws that were damaged or stripped. Was worried due to how thin they are but they worked out well. They didn’t shear off and I was able to remove the screw without issue. Overall, these bad boys worked out good.
Small Damaged Screw Removal
Would Not RecommendThe kit comes with 4 sizes of removal bits, and of course double-headed. I don't believe I've encountered such small damaged screws to remove. The holding case needs to be redesigned, as the bits seems to fall-out of its assigned holder (maybe 2 holding tabs instead of 1).
Micro screw extractor
Would RecommendThis micro screw extractor is very durable and will hold up very well. Same design as the large extractor. This will be a very helpful tool when you have stripped screw heads.
SpeedOut Micro screw extractor
Would RecommendHandy tool for every tool box. Extractors are packaged in a plastic snap shut holder which helps keep these from rolling around in your toolbox. Instructions are straightforward as all screw extractors work on same principle. If the screw/bolt is rusted you might want to use a penetrating oil prior to help extraction process. The micro extractors are for screw sizes 1-3 and metric 3-6mm. Will work with any type of drill.
When you strip out a screw these sets work
Would RecommendHandy to have the full set of 3 different sizes. You never know when you'll need them. They do work but instructions are a bit confusing. The packaging looks good, but i recommend they put the instructions in the plastic black box that holds the bits and puts the sizes for each set on the black plastic box cover. See my pictures to see what i did.
Speedout Micro screw extractor set
Would RecommendI’ve used plenty of screw and bolt extractors over the years. Speedout is a solid brand. Comes with a compact case and the extractors are labeled. To top it off these things are definitely hardened! This isn’t something you find all the time. I’ve had my fair share not work, or that were cheap soft metal. The microset is crazy small. Worked like a champ removing a stripped mini screw from my kids remote. I couldn’t get anything to bite after it was stripped. This literally got it out in seco...
A Must Have For Any Tool Box
Would RecommendThis is a must have for anyone that works with screws and bolts. It is easy to use and made for a easy and quick resolve of a problem situation. I really like the container that it comes in, it's not too big, I just wish the box was labeled for an easier find in your tool box. It did NOT come with an instruction sheet, so just remember to wire brush the extractor after you use it to clean any metal in the grooves.
Micro Speedout...
Would Recommend...screw extractor. Worked like a charm. The extractor had such an intense grip on the screw I had to use pliers to separate the extractor from the damaged screw. I like the reverse boring bit. It allows the extractor the get a better grip on the damaged screw. Overall, a nice tool to add to the toolbox.
Great product
Would RecommendReceived product in good condition. No label on case or directions included. Can see some usage of this on many of the smaller screws I use since they seem prone to strip very easily. Tried it out on a screw embedded in a 2x4 block and it performed flawlessly.
Worked for us
Would RecommendThis micro screw extractor came in handy when my son brought home a rusted out old work chest. The latch had a few micro screws that wouldn’t budge till we used these extractors. I was a tad worried they snap as previous attempts proved fruitless. I do feel like this set it a tad overpriced.
Perfect Extractor!!
Would RecommendThese speed out steel screw extractors are a must have around the house. Different sizes for whatever could go wrong. Strong steel material with a strong bite. Handy case to keep organized.
SpeedOut Micro - Damaged Screw Extractor Micro Ver
Would RecommendThe SpeedOut Micro - Damaged Screw Extractor Micro Version - 4 piece set works great. It makes extracting screws easy. Easy to use, great price, and great quality
extracts mini screws
Would RecommendI tried this on an smaller type of screw that was stripped out because the heads were stripped out on my mini RC racer. I would use a smaller electric screwdriver with a hex mount to first bore the hole and then flip the extractor head around and use the fine screw bit to dig in to the hole and slowly remove the stuck screw. It took a bit of time to master this but the screw eventually came out. Since the screws are smaller, I would advise using less force and more of a feeling to slowly catch a...
