What Customers Are Saying
The Speedout Micro extractor is generally effective at removing stripped smaller screws. The set includes four bit sizes to handle a range of screw diameters. Some users noted the bits can be fragile, especially the smaller ones, and the extraction process may require patience and care. Overall, the extractor is considered a useful tool for dealing with stripped screws, though it may not work in every situation.

Would RecommendI was using a 21 volt Dewalt cordless drill to use these micro extractors. You place it on the drill like you would any other drill bit. Make sure it's tight. When using it against a screw you have to make sure the drill is set on reverse. I used these micro drill bits on two different types of wood screws and they truly struggled to remove the screws. I eventually got 1 out but the second I had to upgrade to a bigger bit.
Great for small screws
Would RecommendThe screw extractor set came with 4 dual-sided bits of different sizes suitable for extracting smaller stripped screws of 3-6mm size. The drill bits are made of steel and are compatible with any standard drill. The extractor bits came in a box that holds all the bits in place safely. I was able to drill a stuck screw from one of the bits and then extract using the other end of the same bit.
Good set
Would RecommendExtractor worked great. Didn’t have to drill a pilot hole in order to use as the burnishing end was able to start cutting right in on the screw head. Changed to threaded end and pulled screw right out.
Speedout Was So Helpful I Now Have a Set
Would RecommendI had stripped a screw and to make things worse, I was having a hard time reaching it. I was completely screwed because I could not get it out, nor grab it with pliers, and could not cut it off. There was no room to get into where this screw was. I was giving up hope and about to use a sledgehammer. As a last resort I tried the Speedout Pro. Initially I had no luck and more curses were heard. I finally realized I was not following directions and using the Screw gun the wrong direction (duh...
works
Would Recommendworks great as intended. did take a little muscle to get the bit to bite but once it did and i used the right size it worked no problem. This was a 3 set so that was almost. has every size needed for the job
Love these
Would RecommendI get so frustrated dealing with weak metal screws that strip so easily and you can't get them out. Well this was the answer. Super easy to use, and the small bit size makes them good for all but the smallest screws up to heavy duty.
When you are out of options use this!
Would Not RecommendThe instructions make it seem easy but for some reason I always find it difficult to remove screws this way. I would say this is the last resort when you need to save the hole for a future screw. I do find it works better for smaller screws with softer material and less force. That said, if the screw location is not important I prefer to use a grinder. It's not bad to have on your kit, but it will take a bit of effort to get working.
Great for screws on electronics
Would RecommendI stripped a screw on the bottom panel of my laptop and was hesitant to use anything that might damage the computer. I gave this extractor a try and it worked! It requires some patience and steady hands but works if done correctly. They are really small but very durable and easy to control. The compact case keeps the bits from getting lost. For small jobs, this is hands-down the most reliable micro extractor I’ve used.
Works well if the head is still present
Would Not RecommendI occasionally run into situations where screws fail to extract due to a damaged head or a head snaps while driving the screw. In both cases the damaged is usually done while driving the screw, even if it's not obviously damaged until you start to remove it. The idea behind this extractor set is that you can use a drill to remove the screw, rather than the hand turned screw extractors that I have lots of experience with. I was somewhat skeptical because most (if not all) extractors advise agains...
Great on those smaller screws, but not glasses
Would RecommendI was really hopping to use these stripped glasses screws, but they were too bit for those. They did come in handy when removing some stripped screws on the cabinetry when I had to renovate! The micro speed outs work just like their big brother counter parts, just for smaller screws. It was a bit awkward using the smaller bits in the big driver, but worked really well to remove a stripped light switch screw. My only complaint is that speed out did not label the outside of the micro set like the ...
Works well on fasteners that are just stripped
Would RecommendI was able to successfully remove a set screw from a post. It was an 8-33 screw that the head had been stripped due to trying to repeatedly tighten. The largest extractor was used and using just the drilling end, it backed the screw right out, but the screw did not have much resistance. Most small screws don’t have much resistance so in this case, these work great. If the screw is seized, I think these will break off and you may have more of an issue. I think these are good to have on hand and g...
Worked like a charm
Would RecommendI was very courteous and even a bit sceptical when I received this extractor set so I immediately wanted to try it out. I found a small flat head screw and using my driver I screwed it into a piece of wood until it was tight and continue to drive it until the head stripped out. Reversing my driver I confirmed that I was unable to remove the screw with my driver. I installed the extractor bit in my drill and in reverse used the drill/burnish end to drill out or shape the hole. I was very impresse...
Ultimate Extractor
Would RecommendThis worked perfectly for extracting an unusual triangle shaped screw head. I followed the directions as specified and it was able to extract the oddly shaped screw perfectly. Definitely recommend this overall.
Really good micro striped screws extractor I like
Would RecommendI used these micro striped screws extractor to remove some screws that were stripped and broken that were holding my flagpole and they were very easy to use and to remove the screws I really like it that now I can put new screws to hold my flagpole as you can see in the pictures below
Works like it's supposed to
Would RecommendI stripped the head of a screw and tried this. It worked as advertized. In my case the screw came out while I was drilling without needing to turn it around and use the extraction end. I run into a stripped screw every so often and this will be a great help.
Never fear a stripped screw--so easy to remove
Would RecommendWorks excellent and extremely easy to use. Just remember to play your Uno Reverse card with everything in reverse, for both drillout and removal. Put a shank in that can match the screw insert area--in REVERSE use the drill out side clean the stripped area, applying low speed and inward pressure. Once cleaned out by 1/16", flip the drill bit to the more conal looking side and again in REVERSE and low speed, apply inward pressure and out pops your stripped screw!
Precise
Would RecommendThis wonderful micro screw extraction set it absolutely amazing. Very well made one thing to make sure when your using this extractor is to use it in reverse. Most people don’t look at the instructions and claim they don’t work like they are supposed to. That’s simply not true they work amazingly great. Definitely a must have in your garage or tool bag.
Great for small screws
Would RecommendThis set of micro screw extractors is fantastic for small screws. The cutting blades are sharp and the threaded extractor holds well in he screw to remove it. I included pictures with my fingernail for scale, as you can see these work for very small screws.
Speed Out Pro broken screw remover
Would RecommendOh no I broke a screw! Never fear, SPEED OUT PRO Damaged screw remover is here! Just chuck them into a standard 1/4 or 3/8 chuck, put it in reverse (very important step), and outcomes that screw! Comes in a convenient carry in case to stay organized.
Easy out screw extractor micro screws
Easy out for small screws. Double ended 2 in one set. Easy to use. Drill out the damaged screw and then extract the damaged screw with the reversed cut end to remove the screw. Works great.
