For the most part, they are decent bases and do allow you to move the machines around. But, thankfully, I don't move my tools around very often. If I did - these would be a huge pain. Between the metal casters (yes the wheels themselves are metal) and the fact that they only have 2 swivel casters, i wouldn't recommend them for a garage/shop combo area where you might have to move tools ...

Great mobile base. It's the second one I purchased. First one is used with a radial arm saw. Second one with a small milling machine. Would prefer urethane casters over cast iron/steel.

Super Heavy-Duty Mobile Base
bought this a month ago it works good. handles the band saw weight great. had to cut 2 of the bars so it fit snug, knew that before I bought it. the only con is tif pads that you screw down need to raise a little higher but not all that bad. great base

Must have for small shop!
I have 3 of the Shop Fox mobile bases. This was the heavier version for my Grizzly Table saw. After trimming extension rods, this too was a perfect fit for the Table Saw.

Wheels should be replaced.
Structure is very well made, but, the rubber coated wheels will fall apart quickly and come off leaving you just the metal part of the wheels. Best to replace the wheels with ones that are built better.

Great mobile base.
I put a Hammer jointer/planer in this base. It rolls very easily and stays put when I need it too. Highly recommended.

Decent
Weight rating seems to be a little exaggerated. The G0544 planer weighs just over 1,000 lbs and fits on this nicely. I just feel like the four corner plates could be beefed up a little. Assembly was easy.

very sturdy and adjustable
I am using this base on a 1,000+ Lb milling machine. It does not seem to be strained by the weight at all and is relatively easy to move.

Very good product.
It took me a few days to pull it out of The box. Once I did it was easy to assemble and fits my homemade wooden lathe stand perfectly. Rolls on the shop floor easily. I will be ordering a few more of these for other machines in my shop.

This product is strong and heavy duty but with exceptions.
I purchased this mobile base for use with a new Grizzly GO690 Table Saw. After a few modifications for a perfect fit, with my chain fall, I lowered the saw onto the base. I quickly realized that the wheel brackets were too wide and would not pass through the doorway leading to the staging area where I would complete the assembly and put the saw to use. I was able to put a piece of plywood down and slide the saw through on the smooth surface. Bottom line? This device needs 4 swivels caster! Not 2...
